A Republican has won in Massachusettes - hell has frozen over.

David Patterson - you\'re next and your days are numbered!

Seriously though, finally people are fed up with this health care BS and are rejecting it.

I could care less either way....i did like some of the things that are in Obama\'s plan(no more rejecting pre-existing conditions)...but i generally didn\'t like that he was forcing folks to purchase it....then again we are forced to have car insurance...so actually forcing folks to have health insurance actually does makes sense....why would you have ins. on a machine, but not have a policy on you that can possibly save your life?

The only other thing i don\'t like is that Obama imo has caved in on the public option....he campaigned on having that in his health care package and he looks weak by not having it in there and letting other folks dictate his policies...he needed to stand firm on that issue.

We\'ll see what happens tho....if people reject the health care plan....we\'ll see what the repubs have for a plan...cause ultimately with the way it\'s going...you either are going to expect massive cuts or your rates are going to go up....i predict the repubs are not going to come up with anything better.

But yeah...this victory pretty much spells the end for Obama\'s health plan.

The Health Care situation in this country sucks. The new one wasn\'t all that great after the Republicans took some of the wind out of it, but at least it was a step... If this kills it, that\'s a total waste in my opinion.

I\'m actually considering "vacationing" to someplace else, maybe in Europe, where I could help my girlfriend get knee surgery... Hmm...

You have to be a citizen of the country before you can even get on a 6+ month waiting list for a surgery that could get denied.

But yeah, go for it!

I do think it comes down to jobs as well too....at the end of the day people need to work. This is not his fault tho...it\'s difficult for any president to get the economy going without drastically interferring. For the most part the economy has to come back on it\'s own.

One issue that folks need to realize is that alot of manufacturing jobs are gone forever...the last bit of those type of jobs that have gone over the past few years are not coming back.

The other bit that is killing this country is the big companies themselves with their fascination with outsourcing...i\'m currently going thru that process again with coca-cola....it\'s frustrating because they\'re outsourcing when they don\'t even need to. We\'ve been under our yearly budget for years now in our IT dept,(we\'ve had ten million left over from our budget last year) yet these idiots bring in an IT mngr who happens to be indian and all of a sudden his buddies are all in upper mgnt and he\'s the one that recomended the outsourcing...to another outsourcing indian firm.

Unemployment in georgia is already at 10%(matching the national average)...these big companies want you to stay dedicated to them yet they are contributing to this unemployment disaster. I love the IT field, but s**t like this just makes me want to drop out of it altogether....instead of hiring americans, these big companies continue to further deepen this recession with their idiotic business schemes.

Nobody is going  to be able to buy your product if you keep hiring foreign workers and outside firms and laying off american citizens...s**t is ridiculous.
