Gamer (Gerard Butler movie)

It\'s out on DVD now, so I rented this expecting it to be awful, but it was pretty funny with good action and a mostly coherent plot.

The best for me was in the opening scene, though. Butler, being controlled remotely by the game player, was blasting people away in the third-person-shooter environment when he stopped and knealt down a few times over a fallen enemy\'s face.

Then he ran on like it never happened. Cracked me up.

Oh, yeah he\'s kind of annoying, but he\'s not in it as much as you might think. They focus more on the "in-game" characters.

By the way, the tea bag scene is on YouTube. Not as funny out of context, but still cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0U2Xob7cJ8

Not the best movie out there, indeed.

I guess FPSs will be like that in a decade (graphic realism, I mean).
Todas estas cosas se perderán en el tiempo como lágrimas en la lluvia.
