Electronic Arts\' BioWare this weekend officially unveiled "Mass Effect 3," a new game that will launch in time for the 2011 holiday season on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the PC.

The game\'s trailer, dubbed "Earth," made its debut at the Spike Video Game Awards. "Mass Effect 3" marks the first time a game in the franchise will launch simultaneously on the three platforms.

"At BioWare, we are always driving ourselves to improve and I firmly believe our best work is still ahead of us," Dr. Ray Muzyka, group general manager and co-founder of BioWare, said in a statement. "We could not be prouder of the team\'s accomplishments with \'Mass Effect 2,\' and are excited and humbled by all of the recognition the game has received so far. We can\'t wait to show you what the team is doing to make \'Mass Effect 3\' an even bigger success."

"Mass Effect" games take place in a science fiction universe filled with dangerous alien life and uncharted planets, and the third installment is "the pinnacle of Commander Shepard\'s emotionally charged journey," EA said.

Mass Effect 3: 11 minutes of gameplay

After being able to view some images of Mass Effect 3 at PAX 2011 , we now have the right to no less than 11 minutes of gameplay video. Electronic Arts has used the show to present his game a little more and try to visitors joystick in hand.

On the menu, we find the Commander Shepard and his crew shot in phases of ever more intense face many enemies. In this video, we can appreciate also some cutscenes and an overview of the available weapons and the ability to customize to our liking.

If you can get your hands on the game before March 9, 2012, we will content ourselves with these waves of information and the long gameplay video for now, good viewing.
