PS4/Vita bundle coming this Xmas
« on: November 25, 2013, 07:14:47 AM »
This article is a few days old but I haven't been on my computer for a few days because of work so I'm posting it now :). Looks like there's gonna be a PS4/Vita bundle coming this holiday season; though its not surprising. It may be in the mid 500s range so it is piquing my interest since I want to get a Vita eventually.

A PlayStation 4/PlayStation Vita "Ultimate" bundle will be released in December sometime before Christmas, according to a report today from United Kingdom trade site MCV. An image of the bundle (below) was captured by Videogamer.

A price for the PS4/PS Vita bundle was not mentioned. The PS4 retails for $400, while the PS Vita currently sells for $200, making a price point for the bundle in the mid-$500 range likely.

In the UK at least, Sony will also run a £2.5 million TV campaign for the PS Vita this holiday called "The Best Way to Play." The advertisement will reportedly promote Remote Play and Media Molecule's adventure game Tearaway.

Sony has yet to confirm any of this information, and a company representative was not immediately available to comment.

Remote Play is a major selling point for owners of both a PS4 and PS Vita. Players can begin a game on the high-definition home console, and then continue their progress away from the system through streaming. GameSpot tested this feature and found that Remote Play has roughly a 50-foot limit.

mid 500's wouldnt be that good of a deal. thats like buying them seperate

i would totally get a vita if it was 499 bundle though. The main thing stopping me from getting a vita is that you need to get a memory stick on top of the device, which is bullshit. it's 2013, put that shit inside the system and dont make me fork out an extra 50 bucks to save games. That actually single-handedly killed it for me at the price its at right now

Hmm. You got a great point. I did forget they dropped the system to 200. So getting it in the mid 500s, they better include a damn good memory card, none of this 4GB shit, and a game.
