Kayaking. Anyone with experience?

Long story short, me and my girlfriend went kayaking last summer and we really enjoyed it. We're both interested in each buying a kayak. Been doing some research on it. Found one I liked but it's kinda on the pricey side. Anyone have experience with this? Any advice on what to look for in a kayak?
