Global warming man. Its all global warming. The earth warms up which is why its so cold. End sarcasm. It was 1 degree when I woke up this morning. 1 fucking degree not counting wind chill. My Jeep barely started.

You get used to it and learn how to deal with the danger of it. I don't really have much of a problem driving in the snow. My old car was a V8 sports car and it was a bit to handle. But since we can get either a mild winter or a brutal one (like this last year, my state is seeing record breaking cold) I decided to get a 4x4 a few years ago and glad I did. I mostly worry about idiots that drive in the snow and don't know how. Jersey is notorious for it's nutty drivers.

Reminds me, a few years ago, I dated a girl from Florida who moved to Jersey. She never saw snow until that winter and was freaking out whenever she was in a car and there was snow on the road. Rode with her once in her car and she drove at idle speed shaking and freaking out afraid she's gonna slip. Some people just can't handle snow.

I currently live in LA so it's pretty warm here. But I will be moving back to Maryland in a couple of weeks. Yay snow, rain, heat and humidity and swarms of mosquitos!

LA only has dry heat and people here are pussies about it. It gets cloudy and people here start driving like it's already snowing. Jeeeeez.

Another 17 inches last night. Crazy weather. Was 60 degrees yesterday morning, rained three inches, sleeted for an inch and then 17 inches of snow in the course of a day and half. Now about 20 degrees.

We got I think like 8 today. A lot of people stayed home so thankfully not a lot of drivers.

make me feel grateful i live in a sunny state where the weather usually doesn't change much and usually warm most of the time.  if you guys don't mind, can you take picture of the outside so i can see the snow and what the weather is like.

Just to give you an idea on what it's like to live in a state that gets snow, especially this year. Here in Jersey we got hit with a freak snow/sleet storm on Tuesday. It started snowing for a while. Then the weather shifted and it began to sleet and freezing rain. This all happened around the evening commute and the road department couldn't plow or salt the roads in time. There was too much snow and sleet to quickly clear. What happens is the sleet then freezes on the roads as well as the snow already on the roads. I was driving from work down the Interstate and my top speed was 10 mph. Average speed was about 5. Took me 3 hours to get home and I'm only about 20 miles from my office. You couldn't see blacktop let alone the lanes of the highway. You just had to follow the car in front of you. All highways in NJ were virtually like that. Some you got up to 15 miles an hour. But traffic was basically a crawl on all highways. This is why I bought a Jeep

Hey Paul. Check out the pictures below. I shot these on my phone yesterday morning before I left for work.

The top is from my street. You can see it's snow covered on my street.
Second is a shot of my front yard. If you look at the side of my driveway and the walkway on the far right, you can see how high the snow is.
Third is my Jeep to show ice (and that's all snow turned to ice) on the car. By law we have to clean it all off (though people in NJ don't which makes for very dangerous driving).
Fourth is my other car. The snow has just piled up on top of it throughout the last few weeks.

No snow here. In fact its the hottest day of the year and feels pretty warm at 16C.  Just took a pic out of my bedroom window.

that is a lot of snow where you live titan.  i can imagine its must be very cold there.  all the hassle where you have to clean the snow off the car and driving carefully because of the dangerous roads make me appreciate that i live in a warm state.  although i don't drive but i gotta respect those that do especially on snowy day.

kurt angle, it does looks very warm where you live.  where i live, it usually really warm most of the days and only gets cold usually at night during the late autumn and winter seasons.

It's been a pretty brutal winter and we have gotten more snow than usual. But honestly, it really ain't a big deal. I lived here for 28 years and you just get used to it and you learn to adapt to the conditions. People from Jersey are tough and resilient. To me it's just another day in Dirty Jerz
