A soldier dreamed that his king would be assassinated on his first visit to a foreign city. He pleaded with the king to cancel the forthcoming trip, believing the dream might be a terrible omen. Pondering a moment, the king thanked the soldier for his advice and confirmed that he intended to take the trip. Then ordered the soldier to be taken out and shot. Why?

Because it says the king will be assassinated on his [meaning the soldier\'s] first visit.  So if the soldier is dead... no assassination.

Two men decide to climb up a mountain that has NEVER been climbed before. When they get to the top, they see a cabin. Much to their surprise, the cabin has people inside of it. The people are all dead.

A man, 6 feet tall is hanging from a rope 2 feet long under a ceiling that is 10 feet tall. There is nothing that he could\'ve stood on to hang himself anywhere on the ground. THe only thing below him a small puddle of water, how did he do it?

There\'s millions of possible reasons! But here goes one:
He came from searching his missing daughter. Goes to bed. Awakes in the morning; reads the paper and finds out his daughter ( or son, whatever ) has been found dead.
