Okay. I personally have enjoyed a number of the initial games that released with the PS2 in the States. But thanks to Sony\'s limited forethought in planning enough PS2s for Oct 26th release (or perhaps their deliberate desire to hold back in order to increase demand...but let\'s save that for another well-trodded thread), what I now seem to own is basically a DVD player.
Yeah, I love SSX. And yes, I have little to complain about with Madden 2001. Personally, for me (cuz I know a lot of posters have bashed it), I enjoy Nascar 2001. But let\'s face it, the software publishers are plain scared to invest in putting their company\'s titles on the store shelves until more PS2 units have sold.
So what does a PS2 owner get to do in the meantime. I mean, once you\'ve played your couple of really good games to death,...once you\'ve been to EB, Best Buy, TRU, Babbages, and the like pretty much every day hoping for a fresh and worthy new release,...once you realize nobody\'s putting anything out their worth a **** for at least another 2 months!!!,...well,...then you realize Sony just sold you a DVD player and you visit the New Release DVD wall of your local Blockbuster...that\'s what you do.
Yep. Thanks Sony for my sexy black DVD player. I\'ll talk nice about you when you distribute enough PS2s to strengthen the publishers\' faith in you.

PS. For all those folks that don\'t yet own a PS2, forgive me for my self-indulgent rant. Yes, I am grateful for my PS2 and I enjoy the games that I have...but Sony really has let us *ALL* down in how they\'ve handled their PS2.
