I own all the games and I finished the 3 for PS1. Just because I don\'t think it\'s perfect doesn\'t make me any less a fan.
I didn\'t say the game was perfect now, did I? For you to be having problems like these and be the "biggest fan"... Heh...

when I say slowdown i mean - My PS2 unit "slows" down operationwise. The whole game goes into slow-mo. After I kill around 5-6 enemies it goes away but yes this is a problem.
... The way you describe it, its seems like its your Playstation 2\'s fault, not the game itself. The game does have a little slowdown problem, just to let you know. But its not so bad that it makes the game suck or anything like that.

The mission where you run out of ammo is the 2nd mission I believe where waves of MTs come after you and once again you don\'t know how many until you play the thing once and run out of ammo, which is a lack of the ability to prepare for the mission due to no explanation. And I don\'t waste ammo, there just isn\'t enough firepower to take out that many unless you charge with your laserblade and take major damage.
THAT mission? Well no wonder... You\'re not
supposed to go after the enemy MTs.(But they\'re no problem for my spiffified AC
) You\'re supposed to destroy the
SPY. It even said so in the briefings. Suggestion: Play in the arena mode and get a better generator and boosters,(Or get the human plus enhancement that reduces the amount of energy you use when you boost), and a Large/Small Rocket Launcher or a Grenade Launcher. When you first start the mission, overboost to the top of the spaceship and look for your target. Snipe the spy from the top of the spaceship. You\'ll complete the mission and lose only about 300 credits.

I\'m not sure of the name of the "chase mission"; it\'s the one that takes place in the subway tunnels early in the game. the target takes off and you can\'t catch it unless your leg speed > 350. Which once again they only tell you "catch the target". Which is again the lack of the ability to prepare yourself due to no explanation.
Heh... What you have to do in this mission, is activate your Limiter Override(press L2, R2, and R3 at the same time to do this. You\'ll get unlimited energy long enough to get the job done), then Overboost(R3) towards the carrier. You\'ll have enough energy to keep close to the target and fire away at its defenses. You wasted your money on those 70,000 dollar legs.

AC:PP for PS1 is prob best mech game out there, but still leaves a lot to be desired. So I\'ll wait for something better.
Virtual On:Oratorio Tangram is a awesome mech fighter, but a little on the arcadey side... I hear From Software is making a update/sequel to Armored Core 2.
