In an interview with Famitsu, the leading Japanese gaming publication, Nintendo\'s Shigeru Miyamoto made some startling revelations. "I\'m not interested in the "console wars,\'" said the creator of Mario. "Not to be misunderstood, but if I ever want to make a PlayStation game, there\'s nothing stopping me. As a matter of fact, I have thought before there should be an adaptor thats links the PlayStation to the N64 for an upcoming project. Hopefully, this will be the year everyone will be able to [fully realize the capabilities of] the N64." In an interview which appeared in Dengeki Nintendo N64, another Japanese video-game magazine, Miyamoto had this to say. "For the 64DD I have asked game companies to make all kinds of different games and cut down on [sequal] titles." When asked about the N64\'s weak performance in Japan during 1997, he replied "Well, our concern isn\'t about our system alone, it\'s about the state of video-game industry in Japan as a whole. As it stands right now, it\'s pretty sketchy out there. We barely made it through the year." Miyamoto also hinted that the 64DD may "have something to do with telephones". Hmmm...
