Anyone want to Beta test the new site design?

I see what you're saying. I've been thinking the same. How I designed it it actually is much brighter. But the theme is coded to mute the banner and make it blend into the background more. I can change that easy enough (and I did in testing) but when I did, the banner was kinda glaring in the dark theme. I'm still debating whether or not to change it to be bright how I designed the banner. This is how the banner is by itself not on the theme.

You want in on the beta test Paul? Give me more feedback on things to fix?

i didn't know that the banner automatically darken itself when its on the theme to blend with the background theme.  now i do.

the banner by itself's brightness seems just right.  but like you said, it might be too bright on the dark theme.  i'll have to see it myself on how it looks on dark background theme.

okay, i will try the beta test then.  i am in.

Ok Paul I switched you over to the new theme I think. You should be able to flick between light and dark with the switch at the top right.

And to add to what Kurt said, please flip between light and dark (use both) and point out any bugs or issues

That’s strange because your profile options says you should be on the new one. Did you press F5 to refresh the page?

i just tried pressing f5 just now several times and it didn't do anything to it.  then i tried looking at profile and it settings like account settings, forum profile, and look and layout and i find nothing unusual. 

i even tried the links http://psx5central.com/community/ and http://psx5central.com and they lead to godaddy page.

i also tried clicking on the refresh button next to the url and it leads to regular psx4central main page.

The psx5central.com websites are not functional yet. It’s just the theme that being tested on the regular psx4central page. If the theme doesn’t work for you then I will let a titan take a look in case I missed something.

And PSX5Central is not live yet. I only made the banner because I had to make a custom banner anyway and it made zero sense to me to design a PSX4Central banner when it's only going to be up for a couple more weeks

EDIT: Never mind Paul. I was playing around with my dummy member and the settings didn't stick. Seems admins can assign the theme but the overall forum settings will over ride it. I'm sorry Paul  Usually with SMF, admins can override anything if they tell the forum to. Anyway, just hang tight.

no problems titan.  i am not really sure what the word over ride means, i just looked it up and still confuse of what it means.
