i guess i should have expected this type of attitude, anyway i gave my honest opinion as to what i thought. i have carefully researched both consoles to MY satisfaction and i believe i am making an informed decision based on what appeals to me. frankly speaking the ps2 has shown me nothing impressive IMO the screen shots that are shown are only as good as some pc screen shots. there have been bugs in the system and that is not what i would want. plus there are other reasons that i won\'t go into now. the ps2 is a good system, but i believe the xbox will be better IMO. now i may not be a hard core gamer, but i am an informed gamer which it seems that you are not b/c it is obvious that you know very little about the xbox. you are very childish and immature as well. if my status as a casual gamer makes me lame, i wonder what does your lack of intelligence make you? and finaly, just b/c gamers don\'t know about xbox now does not mean that will always be true. let\'s see if that will be true in a year. btw, thanks for the cordial welcome...... i am here b/c i wanted to meet other gamers that might have a different opinion than mine? is there something wrong with that?

the fact that casual gamers are by nature not influenced by mega hype is why they may decide to wait for the xbox or gamecube. that means, that sony\'s hype, as well as ms\'s hype will not be an influence in their decisions,...

I\'m sorry, but this is not a fact, and IMO, is seemingly the opposite. But hey, lets not blow something, that is  so apparently trivial, out of proportion.

And when I build my next PC, it\'s going to be AMD Thunderbird all the way.

It\'s good to see underdog AMD, for the first time in many years, leading the pack and Intel is now fumbling with a half baked overpriced Pentium 4 which hardly comes near the competition.

They\'ve virtually surrendered the low end market to the AMD Duron by refusing to set the FSB of the Celeron to 100Mhz(where it should be instead of the forced down 66mhz FSB).

And now, they find their best & latest technology couldn\'t compare to EXISTING chip by the competitor...

Serves them right for giving us 66Mhz FSB Celeron for so many years!!!

Kimathi, I\'m sorry I was so offensive at first. I got the impression you were a X-Box fanboy. Of course its ok for someone to have an opinion, just not here(j/k). I apoligize. However, there is one thing that myself, and as far as I know everyone else on this forum hates and that is seeing a complete newbie insult a regular. In other words, you have to kiss but your first few months Nah, I\'m just kidding. But don\'t act like a a$$hole or like Chrono, one of the most well known and liked people on this board(you see, like that), you will banned before you get to 10 posts.

AMD IS better. I have a crappy arse 233mhz K-6 myself. Which is a pretty good processor itself, but my other crappy arse computer parts well make up for it.

....Not only that but, so what if it\'s a 1ghz now, all that means is that the games can run without stuttering...it\'s a friggin computer, a home PC that just has the game part taken out and sold to u for....."one million dollars"

Some of you say that Gamecube or Xbox will overcome the PS2 as soon as they come out, or that they\'ll be better than the PS2, but frankly we don\'t know that, and the way it looks, the PS2 will be the winner of this console war.  A lot of people may not agree with me, but think about it.  How do YOU know that Nintendo and Microsoft is WAY overhyping their systems?????  Screenshots for the PS2 looked REAL nice, but were they the same once you actually got the PS2? no.  Do I think that Nintendo and Microsoft\'s systems will be the same way? yes.  We don\'t know nothin\' yet, but by the time the Xbox and Gamecube comes out, they\'ll have a lot of catchin up to do.
