Made my first sale!

I'm sure you all know, I lost my job and have been occupying my time with some game console repair. I bought 2 PS2s on the cheap with them advertised as not working. One worked fine so I just cleaned it. The other had the dreaded disc read error. But the laser wasn't the one known to do it. The drive was covered in dust so I cleaned it and now that one works fine (the Q tip turned black when I cleaned the laser). The first one I mentioned, I threw up on ebay last Tuesday and by Friday it was sold. Made about 33 bucks in profit so not a bad haul for about an hour worth of work I'm just waiting for a set of rubber feet for the other one and I want to see if that sells just as fast. I think I may be onto something!

I also found a DualShock 4 at a flea market and bought it for 10 bucks on Saturday. Works fine but the sticks are shot. Replacing those and reconditioning the controller (it's apart. I hate taking those things apart) and I'm gonna try getting 40 for it.

congratulations on your first successful ps2 sell.  but i thought charging $40 for a used ps4 controller is a bit too expensive.  one can buy brand new one for $40, especially during the week of black friday where it sells at that price.

They sell for 40 on ebay. A new Dual Shock 4 is 65.

oh i see.  but i remember every once and a while, sony discount it to $45 and sometimes $40 if i remember correctly.  and in this past few years, sony also discount it to $40 during the week of black friday.

the original cost of ds4 controller is $60 but i was surprised to see some version costing $65.  not really sure why though.
