i just watched the first 6 minutes and 30 seconds of it, and the last 45 seconds of it.  gameplay kind of reminds me of castlevania: symphony of the Night.  this game looks like it could be good.

only thing i don't get is how come this game don't runs in native 4k or at least 2k since its a 2D game and doesn't require that much power especially from current hardwares. the resolution looks like its 240p upscaled to 1440p (you can called it 3k) on the video i just watched.

I found this :
Quote
Sending the image as the native resolution of the display ensures the display doesn't use any of its own scaling.

The game's internal 640x360 resolution makes for perfect multiples at 720p (2x), 1080p (3x), and 4K (6x). The game scales this properly using integer scaling, creating a razor sharp image where every game pixel is exactly 2x2, 3x3 or 6x6 pixels on screen. However, any modern TV or monitor will in virtually all cases not use integer scaling, causing a very noticably blurry image, e.g., between a black and white pixel, there will be a gray transition.

So if you send a 720p or 1080p signal to a 4K screen, it's not going to look sharp, since the 4K screen is going to have to enlarge the image so that it fills the screen, and it won't do it well. Send a 4K signal, and the image can be displayed as-is, with no post processing.

Yep, you got it immediately, there is something they have to fix !  By the way, the game itself seems very interesting, and funny to play.

oh, this game's native resolution is 640 x 360p or 360p for short.  i thought it was 240p but i was wrong.  either way, they could have drawn these 2D graphics in native 4k or at least 2k would have been much better.
