Will Final Fantasy 10 be silent?

I hope Final Fantasy 10 isn\'t silent. With an orchestrated soundtrack (departing from MIDI thank Darwin)

I ca\'t wait for them to make a FF where you won\'t have to read anything it will all be spoken by the characters, maybe they will do this for final fantasy XI

i wonder who good the graphics will be

If they did make the game an entire talk fest instead of reading I\'d hope they would incorperate a skip button for it. Becuase how many times I play each Final Fantasy game isn\'t funny. After 2 or 3 I just skip most  dialouge.

actualy i hope they stick with the writing ! i think its a Final Fantasy tradition !

same here, text should stay, sometimes voice actors are pretty bad (more mainly english, than japanese) look at lunar (some the characters has high squeaky voice..ugh,worse enough it can\'t be turned off, glad they fixed it in lunar 2 ^_^)

what are you talking about, the voice of alex was none other then the kid in the new boy band o-town (I think thats the name)

how about vioces... WITH TEXT it perfect man,! lol, i hope it has no midi this time and its kick ars man

FF10 will use the new ps2 soundchips
while MIDI I have heard the prelude music from the game and it sound strickingly better. The music quality will be MUCH better then all the other FF\'s.

I was kinda refering more to nall in lunar, and actually ruby on lunar 2 ^_^;

I think, it might be alright if it had text w/voice, but if the summons and magic spells were to have voice (chanting, saying name of spell, etc) it might get somewhat repetitve (Ff8 gf summons, example).

I\'m with \'Clip.  Voice acting kinda detracts from the musical score - particularly if the voice acting is substandard.  Vagrant Story (my personal favorite RPG of all time) was silent, and incredibly well done.  The silence is a good idea if you\'re investing heavily in the music.  In addition to that, it\'s easier to skip text than voice .
