Online polls are useful after you take the little things out.
  • Room for mistake. Where the user clicks the wrong one and hits the "VOTE" button.
  • Lie factor. Someone who just clicks one out of boredom.
  • Random factor. Someone who just clicks one at random.
  • Past factor. While many may vote AGAINST a console, quite a few may and probally will end up buying that console.
  • Future factor. While the vote tally is for right now. What happens when all 4 consoles are launched? The vote should be redone ("I demand a recount!")
  • Multi-Voters factor. People who vote once a day , or maybe more so for their console of choice.
  • Limited voters factor. CoreMagazine isn\'t a huge site. So, they\'re limited amount of votes should in no way speak for the massive amount of people.

I\'m sure there is more little things you could add to that list. But, the overall point of those votes are just for interesting yet pointless things. It is interesting to see that some websites "voting" shows the DC is quite awhile, while the XBox is still-born. But, still, I don\'t think it should be taken to heart. Things will change and those votes are only a small percent of people.

Hey I agree with you, they do mean nothing,I never stated or implied that they did.But you could of said something to mm instead of me,whats the difference between our polls that we posted?-Nothing.

Jumpman,

My post wasn\'t directed @ you. I just took the poll you used as an example. Was just making a point about online polls. Nothing personal. :)

All I have to say is is it a "Scientific Pole"?  Nope...

For those of you who don\'t know what that is you\'ll find out when you take Government in High School.  Atleast here in the US.

So, online poles are pretty much worthless anyway.  Kinda like going to a Nintendo site and creating a pole, which do you like GC or PS2?  GC will obviously win, it IS a Nintendo site afterall.  Basing your opinion on who will win by looking at these poles means nothing.
