y\'all make me sick....
I mean you are saying xbox is dead because it won\'t have built in consumer DVD support, thats really stupid.
If you look at the PS2 it has half assed DVD support, it doesn\'t have a remote and you have to use the controllers (which have wires and short wires too) to navigate complex DVD menus. Anyone that uses the PS2 that way is a moron.... Thats why people buy the PS2 DVD remote so they can actually make the feature usefull.
The Xbox you buy the DVD remote with the DVD feature which is much better because I am sure the quality as far as software wise blows the PS2 away and you don\'t have to use the stupid controller menus.
DVD on the PS2 is far more of a hassle and a novelty than a usefull thing until you add in the DVD remote.
The Xbox can play MPEG movies as it has the hardware built in for MPEG-2 support, you are just buying the software and a DVD Remote, which makes it as good as a REAL DVD player.
If you want the feature you pay an extra 25 dollars and Microsoft can advertise the feature and you can also purchase it as a package deal I am sure, thats what is so stupid about saying Xbox is dead, more like the people saying that are brain dead.
There are far more advantages than problems doing it seperately and it makes a lot of sense. I am sure more games will sell on the xbox instead of movies, but who in the hell wants a half assed DVD player. MY DVD player is a 5 disc changer, one disks are going out of style now days.
The I.Q. in this forum just keeps getting lower and lower, I guess thats what happens when video games go mainstream. Its like Sony is the new AOL.
