I friggin\' hate Windows too!

It takes time to load, it crashes a lot... argh!

Thanks to finnish Linus Torvalds for creating a fine example of a good OS, Linux :) -only that Linux isn\'t really made for playing, it\'s really good for working.

Microsoft sells by name. If ppl would know how bad Windows REALLY is they would change it as soon as possible...

But I\'m not changing it. Why? It has all the game-support, I\'m afraid... Otherwise I\'d change it immediately!

Another reason Windows sells, is due to the deal bewteen MS and companies like DELL. Then take in account, that alot of people don\'t want to be bothered with the complex parts of an OS like Linux, so what is left? The MAC OS or Win OS. And, then throw in the massive software support that MS has going for the Win OS, and it pretty much gurantees success.

There has always been other OS\'s out there to buy. A prime example is UNIX. It was out before Windows. But, Windows took it the computer to a personal computer. It allowed people who would never be bothered by such techincal things and important commands, to just press buttons, and use a computer.

In reality, the idea of Windows is perfect. Excellent software/hardware support. Massive support by companies who sell / make computers. Ease of use. Plug \'N Play. Other things. Its the execution that falls flat on its ass, so to speak. They don\'t bother to fix the bugs in the OS. Or if they do, they usually create more. Not to mention they add dumbass features which allow viruses like the now classic "Melissa" virus.

umm Linux is just a variant of Unix so are all the BSD\'s.Unix is basically just a kernel.It\'s known for being very stable and very complex for beginners.
The newest version of MacOS,MacOS X is based on the Mach.3 kernel which is another version of the Unix kernel.It\'s also used by FreeBSD and it was used in the good\'ol NExT step OS.
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!

Yep you got it right there Living-in-Clip that Windows is easy to use. Very easy. It\'s very user-friendly if not speaking about bugs and errors here :)

Microsoft is dominating the whole OS -marketing and so powerful as a King MS is, it\'s going to take something revolutionary to take good ol\' Gaytes down.

Remember the good old Dos -days? :)

Reinstall it? Not to be rude or anything but what form which planet do you come from? Just use a clean image file on your system partition which only takes 3 minutes or what and your windows-box is up and running again. I strongly suggest you take a look at that ninfty tool called "Ghost".. system operator\'s and companies uses it about 5 years now.. grin. maye it\'s time you start using it too!

Statement: Windows became even worse because the users took it for granted and never actually helped to built a better product.. that same faith awaits the PS2 if the users keep their thumbs in their as**s.. :-)

just my 2 cents....

Um? If you want a console where the users help build the system software, then wait for an Indreama. The SDK is going to be public and already is, actually. The PS2 SDK isn\'t. And no YBASIC is not the PS2 SDK. It is just something for simple amusement.

And Sony tried the PS SDK ordeal. Remember Net Yaroze? Yeah..No one got into it. Why should they try it again with the PS2?

I have Linux Mandrake 7.2 and Windows ME running on a dual boot on my machine. I can\'t really do much with Linux but I can surf the \'net without having to worry if it willl crash on me. As far as games g on Linux I have only tried the Quake 3 Arena demo, but Quake 3 Arena runs better on Windoze anyway. It is still very hard to navagate and you need to have to know a fair bit about computers to understand it properly. But still, I wouldn\'t hate Windows just because it ****s over you every now and then, it\'s still ****ing hard to make an OS from scratch because everyone has different hardware configs they can\'t custom build it for you. So to sum it up I\'d say Microsoft has done a ****ing wonderful job with Windows.

why the heck is that guy so interested in indreama? it\'s already failed before it launched! they\'re giving away the SDK for free because if it sold them it would most certainly die, but a company like sony is sure it will sell and the more gamers, the more game developers, the more game developers, the more demand on ps2\'s SDK and that can mean no matter how high the SDK costs, developers are willing to pay

Your REG was messed up because you removed a drive or partition. so what? just run the regsaver over it fixed.. and what\'s wrong with a wit a clean harddisk image of a system partition? If you use windows it\'s more themn advisable.. I think you rather loose 3 minutes then 30 minutes of install.. :-)

No I know that YaBasic is far from PS2 SDK yet the the brain behind it is highly respected by PS2 Developers.. the power of simplicity and Portability.. that\'s why it was distributed on European version of the PS2 demo cd and Soney Europe already announched that the best portable language will be use as a distro for user entertainment development you see? It\'s logical because 90 procent of the wolrd gamers is not that fanatic or willing enough to go that deep and PS2 SDK will not motivate much gamers to even try something. :-) I hope that Sony wised up after PS SDK and will make it more accesible to the common user. A kind of RAD implenmentation instead of bad accent orientated C kind of language. Why they should try? Believe ir or not.. the gameplayers nowadays getting *smarter*... Look at the game trainers today.. tehe gameplayer can look up variables them selves and tweak them anyway they like... I think PS2 SDK has a future.. it needs some ingredients like portability and compatibility.. maye a RAD flavour would take it even much futher... Who would have guessed that 32 procent of the normal Websurfers back in 1998 now can alomst write their own utilities or compile kernels/sources thanx to the implementaion of RAD?.. just me two cents in the bucket :-)

Do you really think  the software industry is going to adapt to a companies new concept of consolling that easiliy? DO you have any Idea how long and how much only a research costs??? Developers are getting sick and tired of overexpensive SDK..  we believe in OpenSource.. and why? It\'s proven to be better :-)

just another throw of 2 cents in the bucket...

Well, most people know absolutely nothing about RAD, programming languages, kernals etc. I also find it hard to believe that 32% of websurfers can compile kernals and/or source code. The majority of those people can only figure out how to navigate the net through hyperlinks and their Windows-based webbrowser.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
