Who\'s Enjoying Their New DVD Player (PS2 Owners_
« on: December 27, 2000, 12:44:57 AM »
I just got The Matrix on DVD, but I haven\'t had a chance to watch it yet, so I have no idea how my PS2 plays. I\'m getting a Sony Vega (as if you care) so I can play with more excitement. How\'s everyone enjoying the features on your shiny new PS2???

I\'m very happy with the DVD playback, though the machine seems to have troubles running deeply scratched discs. So I quit renting movies without checking the DVDs for any damages :)

yeah I\'ve been doing the same thing, I hate having to walk back to the rental store to get another copy of a movie, I had to go back twice for Gladiator, and I wasn\'t happy about that

I don\'t use it. I use a real DVD player.

My PS2 has very acceptable DVD playback (when it actually works; I\'m starting to think my PS2 is dying because it takes a godsend for it to actually read anything as of late).  The only thing that annoys me about it is that it can\'t do zooming like my Toshiba set-top player.  It\'s not a very big deal though, so I can live with that.  I\'d also like to have a remote for it, but that can wait until Sony releases their own PS2 remote.  The Interact and Madcatz remotes suck donkey balls.

Mine is great:):)

Just a note: What\'s up with getting scratched up PSX games and DVD\'s from rental joints?!?! What kind of baboon do you have to be to scratch a damn cd/dvd?? Are people really that caveman-ish?
What? Are they low on coasters?;)

MM, I\'ve gave him specfic instructions on where the friggin\' caps key is. He doesn\'t listen. Its annoying.

As for DVD playback. I already had one, but its nice. I enjoy it. Beats watchin\' on my PC, like before.

Its pretty cool. I really dont use it at all, since I already have a DVD player. But here and there, to get a kick out of using my PS2...I\'ll watch one. If you want a good movie with awesome effects and sound...DIE HARD rulez!
