« on: December 28, 2000, 09:45:07 AM »
I have a pro-logic receiver, when playing DVD\'s can I select the dolby digital option or will this only work with Dolby digital receivers. I have only watched 1 DVD and I did not select this option. Also I noticed the volume was mcuh lower than VHS. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You must have a Dolby Digital receiver or Dolby Digital-ready receiver.  This is possible if your receiver has several inputs, one for C, FL, FR, RL, RR, Sub.  If so then you need an external decoder to decode the digital bitstream to 5.1 channels.
