I have been a member of this forum for quite some time now and feel that I have made more then a worthy contribution to the posts submitted to the board.

Last Friday I purchased MSR for the Dreamcast and am throughly enjoying it, though it is extremely tough, it has been very fun and exciting.

I was finding it extremely hard to progress, so I thought I might post something on this board to see if anyone else had any tips they may be able to share with me. But low and behold, because it is a post concerning a popular DC game, the post is immediatly deleted.

WHY???

What was so wrong about needing help in a game? I mean, I know this is a \'PS2\' forum, but WHAT GIVES? My DC forum was currently down at that time, so I posted here.

I think that is really pathetic that I post asking for help is deleted, simply because it relates to DC. I mean, it wasnt flame material, and it certainly wouldnt have caused any type of \'offense\' to you \'hardcore\' PS2 gamers. But, have you noticed that X-Box posts are rarely deleted? WHY WAS MINE DELETED???

Yea I\'m with you, it couldn\'t do any harm for you to post sumthing about the DC game. I think things like that should be takin into consideration by the mods. I think if someone needs help with a game, then we should help them. I\'m sure everyone on these forums likes just about every system so why delete sumthing just because this a PS2 forum?

There is a forum for that, it is not meant for the main forum. There is a simle abuse of the forum rules that some people, like me and some mods, get tired of. People don\'t follow guidelines. Right on the forum start page it tells you what the forums are for. The hints, cheats, and Help forum is for just that. It specifically asks that you do not posts stuff of that nature in the main forum.

Please follow guidelines set by our mods so that your posts and threads will never get deleted.

i totally agree with you racer with what you said.  its totally unfair if the a sega thread was being deleted.  thankfully it wasn\'t and i think it was moved to console forum.  i am a ps2 fan but i also like to see sega being more supportive and was love by main consumer.  (except i hate nintendo.)
playstation 2 rules.  Nintendo Starcube Dolphin drools.  Hehehahahheheheh...

I\'ve said it a million times and I try to stick with it,

IMO if your a regular and you want to post about other consoles and other games its tollerated and even encouraged, as long as the board doesn\'t get overrun by off topic topics or the occasional jackass.

But don\'t jump to conclusions sometimes we just move topics to a more appropriate forum. Obviousl your MSR topic didn\'t get moved because of who you are and you just wanted some help on a game, not starting another MSR vs GT3 pic debate

Altered beast, it really doesn\'t hurt.  The forums turn into communities where people recognize others and sometimes even think of them as friends.  Because of this, things might not always stay exactly on topic ,people are having conversations and helping each other out. People here know who are gonna cause trouble and who are just looking for help or a word of advice and are happy to help out. Besides, you know haw long it would\'ve taken to get help on the other forums cause every one seems sticks to this one.

If you post in off topic, it never get\'s deleted :D

I agree with the fact that the post should be in another forum, but the problem is that no one checks the other forums because the mods let so many off topic threads go through on this board that there really is no need to go to the other boards.  I was on here one time when 6 of the first ten threads were about the XBox and Game Cube.  If people posted in the correct forums for everything it would be great.  But as it is now there are about a page and a half of new threads every day at least on this board making every question get asked every other day because the thread is on page three and no one searches.  Threads would stay on page one a lot longer if people would use the other forums as well as this main one..

Well, I try to point everyone to the Cheats,Tips,Hints forum, but it isn\'t as active as it could be. So people post them here. It is slightly annoying, but its not that big of a deal.
