Final Fantasy X first FF to be Voice acted.

FFX is Going to Be acted out with real peoples voices unlike in the other FF where u just got the subtitles written onto the screen.  I myself an a fan of the subtitles.  I believe that voices can wreck a game,  But they can also make a great game even greater.  Square has to choose their voices carefully and make sure that the main character doesn\'t have a lame voice, that will wreck the whole game.  Which do you guys rather have Subtitles or voices?

I personally thought the voices in lunar SSSC were good, if its at least that good then it will be fine... but its squaresoft, big budget company
they have money to hire professionals

I agree Lunar had some pretty good voices.

Hope the voices will be cool.. I hate when a dubbed animation sounds like af if voice actors are reading some sort of an instruction.. for example, it would\'ve been cool if they just say something like "God damn it, that asshole is flying!!!" rather, they say something like "Geez, that guy with a blonde hair is speeding up so fast, I bet something is up".. you know.. what a pity....

I think they should do both. When you buy the game and play it, it should have the characters voices. Their should also be an option screen that gives you the option to change the settings from voices, to just written words( if that is possible).

I remember me first ff being no.7 anyway as i got into the game i didn\'t really know what the characters were like i mean i didn\'t know from square\'s perspective.... u\'d think red xii could be some brain voice when he sounds like a hungry beast kinda thing...

FFX looks abit real which i don\'t really like.. but same as ff8 i loved it more in end hopfully the voices won\'t be dull japanese-american transfers eg. Kessen ugh...

As long as they have the option to use either voice or text. I read a lot faster than they speak and I like to fly through games sometimes. Like when I know I have to get to a certain temple really cuickly and everyone is talking slow it sucks.

Any word on if the voice actors/seiyuu will be drawn from those who do voices for anime?

That\'s pretty cool. After beating Shenmue, where every citizen talked,it was hard to go back to the subtitles in Skies of Arcadia.

If done well voice acting can certainly improve the gaming experience. They certainly have the bucks so i expect some terrific voice acting in FFX.

hmmmm........voices AND CG graphics....sounds like a sweet combo to me....this is what made Lunar so cool...voices with graphics is always a good thing...

It can be good thing if the voice-actors are good that is. And square won\'t let us down here.

I remember when Curse of the Monkey Island came. It had voice-acting. I thought that will it wreck the game and its humor. But quess what? It made the game even better!

And there is no negative possibilities when talked about Square.

As long as they get good voice actors it should be fine, I don\'t really mind either way, I read fast and I think half of the fun - just like reading a good book - is when you realize halfway through the story that in your mind you have associated the main characters with voices of common stock characters. I know, for me, Barret was Mr. T - all he needed to say was, "I pity the fool!" and "Cut your jibber jabber Cloud!" and I would have been in heaven!

All final fantasies had a ton of dialogs/conversations with many people.How on earth is Square going to have voice overs for all dialogs?
This could mean reduce of interactivity with other characters.

The lack of voices is what kept me from playing FF8 & 9.  And what originally made me lose interest in Parasite Eve.  I don\'t want to read a book when I play a game.  I like to relax.  It was ok for old-school rpgs but we have come farther now and after playing Resident Evil and other games w/voice I don\'t want to go back.
