Xbox design revealed at msxbox.com...so many hits it crashed the site!

the console looks hella cool, BUT the controller is ugly.  why on earth would they put the left analog stick ABOVE the digital one?  thats assanine

That looks pretty kick ass to me. I will definately have to get EGM(?) this month. As for the controller, It looks like it gets the job done. I can\'t complain it looks like a sleek version of the GCN controller with a slot for a VMU type device.

The console does look cool.
But it also looks like the 3D0. I like the 3D0 design. I guess, I\'m just amazed its so close to the 3D0 design.

The controller isn\'t bad. I love the DC pad. I wish it didn\'t so closely mimic the DC pad though. And what is with the giant green blob that says XBOX? That looks stupid.

Ah, its just a console. Its the games that matters.

Jumpman, My browser crashes to when I try to get into http://www.msxbox.com. They need to rewrite some stuff. The damn CGI scripts and images overload the browser

I could care less what it looks like as long as it is not a cube.

The thing looks quite good.

But the pad seems large ( it\'s close to the camera; perspective problem I quess ); and the "hats" are on strange places... Wonder if Working.

But Microsoft has always designed good joysticks and pads to PC so I rely on them on that subject.

Now we\'ve seen the thing we want to see the games, right?

Right.  The Xbox is not a dvd player.    You have to buy the remote which comes with the software.  The resoning is most likely somewhere between pushing hollywood\'s DVD charges off the Xbox console and appeasing Developers.

I think it looks okay, the control pad looks just like the MS Sidewinder pad.....the likeness to the 3D0 is uncanny...yikes! Did they post any real-time shots of games or anything at their site?

It looks dope. I wish my issue would come in the goddamn mail! It looks nothing like a 3D0.

I agree. They don\'t look anything alike. They are both black and that is where the resemblances stop.

I personally think the X-box looks ugly. But that is just my opinion. And again, if the games kickass on it, it doesn\'t matter what the system looks like. I will buy it regardless.

Oh, and its also "black" :rolleyes:. No, it won\'t succeed now (making fun of all the people who critize the PS2 on its "color", even some X-Box fans).

Of course they had to copy Sony for that. No way, the big crome-X would be much better don\'t you think?

I quess N64 or even Sega Master System started this "Black generation" in consoles. Hey no offence anyone. The color suits my living-room that\'s for sure.

But I wasn\'t surprised. Microsoft has always copied. Bill Gates wouldn\'t be rich at all without buying dos from unknown programmer nor if apple wouldn\'t exist.

I know dissing MS is somewhat popular amongst some people, but I think it looks friggin\' awesome. I\'ll be the first in line for one. If I can manage to save up some money that is, because there are lots of cool things I\'d like to own.

For the X-box; I gotta say that I can\'t save money for it. Really. There\'s so many ps2 games that are must buy that all my money goes there. Sad but true. If I could choose one next gen console, I think it would be X-box.

Not sure though, but why wonder. I won\'t have money, I know it and I say it straight
