Nope dood, SSX, Timespltters (UK Developed anyway so no biggie), Rayman 2, RR5, and probably quite a few more.

It is an option, it\'s just up to the game developers wether they\'ll use it or not. Namco could\'ve implemented a 60hz mode to RRV and TTT, but for some reason, at this point, chose not to (not enough time to tinker with what were supposed to be launch games or something...). I hope developers really do use this advantage in the new hardware in the future... TTT looks so painstakingly slow again after taking a peek at the arcade version, arg.

Right now (as you guys said) The PAL PS2 games are 50Hz in default right? Is NTSC 60Hz in Default? And does 50Hz means 50 fps and 60Hz is 60fps? I got TTT and RRV US version, they\'re smooth, but I haven\'t seen the UK version so I can\'t compare.

The reason I ask is because I want to play PAL games on my modded JAP system, but they always have bits missing at the bottom...

Actually u don\'t need to mod your DC to play imports. Just get an Utopia boot disk or The GameShark CDX and it\'ll play PAL games perfectly on your NTSC DC.

Did you check  your TV supports PAL ? maybe that\'s the problem your having instead.

The speed isn\'t exactly an Hz/fps problem in this case. 50 Hz is enough to get a fast/ smooth image, but only if the developers used some time to adjust the speed for the Pal version( or just include a 60 Hz option to make it exactly to the NTSC).
So the real problem is that the developers made a fast NTSC-PAL conversion( consequence of a lack of time), so now we have a slower version of the games. But that is not the worst thing.
The worst thing is that in some cases( like SSX) they don\'t adjusted the frame transition also, so it calculates the objects coordinates like if it were running at 60 fps. It runs smooth during the first 50 fps, and then it recalculates the screen jumping from the frame 50 to the 60. So what we get?: smooth..... jump, smooth... jump.

Anyway, isn\'t that bad; i saw the same problem in some Pal DC 1st generation titles like VF3TB, and now most of the games runs smoothly or have a 60 Hz option.
Whatever

nope, basically you can still display at 60fps on a 50hz television. the main difference is that there are more lines
on a 50Hz PAL television than a 60Hz NTSC television. so during the PAL translations of games you either get big borders or no borders with slower gameplay, this is because
the programmers have to display more lines on a PAL TV
and seems to take away the overall speed of the game.
or am i wrong?

No, you can\'t get 60 Hz on a 50 Hz TV( well you can but you may damage it), but actual Pal TVs have a 50/60 Hz mode so if the developers want they can run the games at 60 Hz and still retain the advantage of the 625 scanlines and scart connections.
Whatever

you can get 60hz in 50hz tv but only in black and white.
Do not worry about yesterday, because it is history.
Do not worry about the future, because it is a mystery.
Enjoy today to the fullest, because it is a gift.
That is why it is called the \"present\"....:smokin:
