Why internet polls are useless and false...

Well, today I leanred how internet polls have no value at all
its "selective polling"
only people with internet and people who give a damn are going to vote
if i\'m an average gamer... I love sony but i\'m not really hardcore or care about polls, so I won\'t bother to vote
I also don\'t visit sites very much or even have the internet or a computer
so I don\'t see many polls
get it?

but everybody I know, including myself used to take them very seriously
I learned that they are useless, and just site interactity

So actually, every poll in real life would gear greatly towards sony then anybody else from where they are now
Why?
consider the people who did not vote... beacuse of the PSX and casualgamers which there are ALOT of

and the only people who know about the NGC and XBOX are hardcore gamers, which OFTEN visit websites which is where all this info comes from at the moment.

On another note,
The comercials and such during the superbowl from microsoft won\'t work
because there are no games to show
casual gamers care about games
they don\'t care about what they system is or looks like, they want to see games, something MS cannot show at the moment (well except PC games...)
MS can have one fancy comercial.. but what are they going to show besides the system, that is significant or is a demo?

I agree. I saw a poll on " do you own a ps2" and it said that 74 percent owned a ps2(ya right!!).  The reason for this is that if you didn\'t own one you were less motivated to vote.  And these polls are pointless

I only trust internet polls that have my view or belief leading the way.

If my thoughts on the situation are in 2nd or worse then it obvious the poll is a sham.

hmmm... I don\'t trust polls and I can give you more reasons.

If the poll asks: "Wich of the Next Generation consoles is BEST" the percentage of certain answer depends on what site the poll is. It\'s obvious. If this poll is on PS2 site, then PS2 will have the most votes. If on microsoft site, X-box will have most votes and so on.

The thing is that fans of certain console go only to the sites of that console. They don\'t bother to vote or visit X-Box oriented site if they\'re fans of DC for exmpl.
