Naughty Dogs game??

character based does\'nt necesarily mean hop\'n\'bop.  Crash was character based and so was tomb raider. It\' like when their is one main character that\'s kinda like a mascot or that the whole game centers around. Edios use to make pretty much all character based games. Remember their magazine adds where it would be characters striking there pose with the name of their game underneath it. That\'s character based.

Few months before the official announcement of the PS2 I saw a magazine having pics from a project considered of being work from Naughty Dog for PS2.
The characters reminded a lot of Rare\'s(like donkey kong) style of design.The charatcers were very bizzare though.There was also a strange flying character.Pretty redish I can say the graphics were.Also there was a wired frame model included in one of the pics.From the pic you would say the model was highly polygon designed.
But I ve never  seen anything else from that day.As if it never existed.
Has anyone else seen similar pics?

I hope they are right. No, for those wondering, it\'s not a Crash game. Yes Crash will be on PS2 and other next-gens, but the game ND is talking about is waaaaay under wraps. The only thing they say is that it will be "character based", whatever that means.

They also believe, through their enlightened understanding of the PS2, that it (PS2) is 100x more powerfull than PSX.

Also shingoku its well known that Naughty Dog has signed on with SOny as a 2nd party developer to provide exclusive content for the PS2, its also known that Konami now has the Crash liscense and is porting the game to all systems, and its further known that Insomniac  is also a SOny 2nd party and will no longer be doing Spyro.

Didnt want a PS2? Well, I had no money, as I did witht he American DC. I had spent it all onthe system I still unfortunately spend it all on, saturn. I didn\'t want the PS2 because I had played demos of the launch games and none of it was for me. I will be buying an X-Box at launch because I feel the system, with Peter Molyneaux and his Lionheart Studios will give me games similar to the games I have loved by Molyneaux for years. I don\'t understand why any wanted a PS2 at launch except for a DVD player anyways. I have 3 friends with them and they ALL have more movies than games and just don\'t play the PS2 any more. I got one hooked on Shenmue, another on JGR, and another on import Saturn games. I will be buying one when I am impressed, I figure that will be around Twisted Metal Black comes out, the game which I figure will be the best on PS2 for years to come. There are other games I will like, but nothing can touch Twisted Metal 2 on PSX, maybe Black will though.

Soapbox? No. I am just sick of tired that people claim Bill Gates to be this evil man who runs an evil company. It is jealousy and fear, I\'m afraid which drives these people to say such things. I don\'t go around saying I hate Ken Kutargi (or whatever) because he made the PSX beat the Saturn.

Yes, I love the DC. It isn\'t my favorite system, not by a long shot, it is just the one I can, with this generation, effectively dump my money into and feel satisfied. What is your explanation for their useless bashing?

Yes, it could be interpreted that way, but I did say \'most likely\' not definitly. It will most likely be a platformer, IMO. Rubens is behind it, his ONLY contribution to Naughty Dog was Crash. I doubt he\'ll stray too far. I\'m willing to be suprised though....

I never mention any DC games I am looking forward to without mentioning PS2 games also. Besides,I thought we play games here, not systems. Anyone with half a brain would admit that limiting yourslef to one system is completely idiotic.

are you that ignorant, what you don\'t understand the importance of MS treating its labor force with diginity, I guess when you live an hour away from MS and you talk to these employees who\'ve working for MS with out Health, retirement, stock options, and fair wages compared to the a smaller portion of permanent employees then maybe you could possibly remove your head from your ass for just a moment to realize how completely ignorant your comment was. MS has over 90 lawsuits against them for this and discrimination cases. People invested 4-5 years knowing if they could just get into MS they be taken care of, but MS decided it wanted to save money by leading their temps  down a 4 or 5 year path of empty possibilities.

Cause the competition is unable to keep up now the MS has gotten so big. MS got lucky and because the PC market was so small and ballooned MS and Windows just became the 1st to be widely excepted, and unfortunately people who used Windows atr work decided to stick with that at home then one thing led to another and nobody wanted to try that newer system cause everyone neew someone else or already worked with Windows. Windows is not that great, I use it because I have very little choice, you find an OS that supports all that software and hardware you want to use, not to mention the amount of time I don\'t have to spend setting up components to work on MS let alone an unsupported OS. I don\'t hate MS  nor do I hate Windows, but its time to make sure competition is given a fair chance to catch-up and compete otherwise MS and Windows is a monopoly

So lets not pretend you actually have a real clue to the whole situation either.

I have an Xbox on pre-order, but I probably won\'t excersice that option for awhile. There are just way to many good PS2 games coming out, and I\'d rather invest my money into Sony 1st for the main reason of I don\'t want PIII/ Nvidia PC  component  consoles to rule the industry.  IMO  that is a very large step backwards, games are cool and very important, but its equally important that Hardware gets guided away from standard technologies.

So Microsoft deserves alot of negative feeling because they treat their employees with disrespect. What would I do in that situation? hmm, probably find a new job. I mean after a year, wouldnt you figure it out that stuff wasn\'t coming.

Microsoft can manipulate these people soley because they are too dumb to think for themselves. Go work at Apple, I am sure Steve-o would love the company. Didn\'t Sony have an antitrust case dealing with Circuit City? CC was only allowed to sell Sony game products or something? Seems kinda like a double standard there. Of course, that doesn\'t matter, because CC is just one store.

I am welcoming Microsoft into the console community with open arms until they screw up and pull a NES or PSX.

Funny, Sega has never won a generation, maybe they should start paying companies, developers, and stores to only sell/make their products. Then they would finish first for once! NES = #1, PSX = 1. Funny how both these systems are notorious for breaking very easily. So for Sega to bea tthe competition they need to A) make shoddy hardware. Pay off some select companies.

I admit, some of that post was made in ignorance, I was mad. This post makes alot more sense though. I try to have intelligent conversations, but they are normally ruined through bias, misdirected hatred, among other things.

I\'m sure most of those employees should just quit MS pack up there families and move from there family and friends to California to work for Apple.

People stick with MS on false hopes of becoming permanent and reaping the bigger paychecks and benefits, Bigger than almost anyone else makes in Washington. DO you realize the average MS permanent employee minus the top 5 salary makers like Bill himself make over $300K a year.  How would you like to be busting yoiur  balls for a few  years getting so close to the promise land just to have some company take a huge **** on you and watch everything you busted your ass  for dissapear.

I work  for Boeing and I\'m part of a union  and I get treated  like a King compared to so many, and big comapnies ike Ford and GE, Genral Motors, and more all take care of there employees. but not MS they rather use all those Billons to pay lawyers,  cause thats whats happening now.


I don\'t mind MS entrance in the console market, but I\'ll be damned if I\'ll help make them the top console company with there PIII based Nvidia PC in a shell console. I will probably get an Xbox but I\'m not so sure I would rush out at launch to get one.  MS has money, they\'ll make others  more competitive like SOny and Nintendo, Sega has its own hill to climb but under 0 circumstances am I willing to watch Xbox run away with the market cause thats a sad day.

Halo at launch, Munchs oddysee at launch, Peter Molyneaux games at laucnh (including the supposed GREATEST GAME OF ALL, Black and White), etc.

PS2 launchgames featured none that I wanted, or none that I couldnt get on PSX or DC if I wanted to (most I didnt), X-Box has a lineup that interests me. PS2 looks to be interesting around March, which is when I will probably buy one. thatscalled an opinion. I still want a PS2, but am far more psyched about X-Box, though I dont want to go to any of their BBS, because it will be tech heads and PC Gamers. I dont want any of that. This board is too fun, and enlightening. I have learned far more on here in the7 months I have been here than I will on any other message board in an even longer time. I came here originally to point and laugh, as my early posts would probaly point out. But have learned to give respect where needed. I also came to prove to my Sony fan friends that I wasnt a Sega Boy (I own every damn system, gimme a break), so now I know PS2 is going to be well worth owning, and I will be there.

Out of curiosity do you ever see the sun, where the hell do you get your money, where do you work ????

I mean I own one system, and will strugle to be able to buy a 2nd I will barely have time to play the great games one system let alone 2 not to mention you and your 4 systems, and the fact you have close to 50+ DC games already.

I mean what the hell else do you do besides play games, got a wife, kids, are you going to buy a house. I mean of course you have a job so where do you find the time to play all of those games while actually enjoying other aspects of life.

I\'ve asked you this before but I don\'t get it, I work 50 hours a week, make close to $70K ayear, I\'m desperately trying to save enough money to buy a house, and spend some time with my wife, and I can\'t afford what you do ??
