Naughty Dogs game??

I\'ve read that ND\'s new PS2 game is going to be the first (they claim) to effectively utilize all three processors on the PS2 (EE,VU0,VU1). They say (ND) that we will be astounded.

I hope they are right. No, for those wondering, it\'s not a Crash game. Yes Crash will be on PS2 and other next-gens, but the game ND is talking about is waaaaay under wraps. The only thing they say is that it will be "character based", whatever that means.

They also believe, through their enlightened understanding of the PS2, that it (PS2) is 100x more powerfull than PSX.

Just a few thoughts.

But I think they know what they\'re doing, cuz on ps1 they were among the best programmers around, they have done things even sony itself didn\'t think was possible, I\'m looking forward to their new creation

any idea when they\'re gonna reveal more?

But now I promised my little-sister to come and take my place. This is the first time I give my place to her without a fight.

Just press the \'chat\' link on the top of your screen here on the forum. I don\'t know when it\'s best to join. Perhaps in the evening USA time?

I guess that is why we havent even seen a screen shot or heard anything more than "it will blow us away". They probably have zip, nil, scratch, zero, nada, you get the point. They are probably in the process of opening mouth, inserting foot as they tinker with the PS2. If we don\'t hear anything from them by April, you\'ll know I was correct

OR they\'re just working on the game until it\'s finished and there are more PS2s on the market. If it really is that impressive I\'d sure as hell keep it a secret until I could reveal it with a big bang.

Yep.. you would keep it as a secret, would anyone else?

No, that is obviously not the reason. They are not trying to sell games, just prove they are the best. If they wait til more games are released, games made by other people will get better and more people will make games that are even  better than theirs, defeating the whole point of waiting.

Release now: supposedly be the best graphics on the market = sell tons of games

Release Later: Run risk of having mutlitple companies beat you to the graphics punch. Sell less. Has less of an effect.

hmmmmmm naughty dog making games for the ps2 eh and they say its not CRASH......sounds a little fishy to me. Well only time will tell, until then lets enjoy the games of other major gaming companies........like Squaresoft and Konami...................MGS2 and FF10........thats what everyone is waiting for

those naughty dogs eh. I loved crash team racing on the ps1. i wonder what they are gonna do next, it\'ll have to be pretty amazing if i know ND.

Naughty Dog is talented programmers. They even made the 3D0 look decent with "Way of the Warrior". I\'m dissapointed that their first PS2 outing won\'t be a Crash game, as I love Crash.

I\'m sure they will come through though.

Heretic/Altered Beast....we\'ll see who\'s right then.

I look foward to seeing what they\'ll cook up, but don\'t expect the world, great graphics do not a good game make. Character based more than likely means more hop n bop like Crash, but with a new character obviously, let\'s hope the new character isn\'t annoying.

Well, for sure the "game" exists. What we don\'t know is:

1. When?
2. How "stunning"?
3. Exact genre?

I think they are in advanced stages being as they were among the first with Dev kits. I just hope the game lives up to the mystery.
