I DID IT!!! WHOS THE MAN? WHOS THE MAN? HAHAHAHAHAH WOOHOO!!! KISS MY A$$!!!!!! AHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHHAH!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who don\'t know what that pointless rambling was about, it meant THAT I FINALLY GOT MY PS2!!!!

See, my dad got home from work, called the local Target and I\'ll be d*mned they actually had some. 4 to be exact. So he heads down there and returns 20 mins later with 2 shiny blue boxes. He sold the other one to a friend in work.

Actually I got it on wednesday, I just have been to pre-occupied to get on the net, and the computer for that matter. I apoligize for my lack of posting lately, I\'ve been really busy.

Anyway back to the subject. I have only one game for it so far and that is TTT and it ROCKS!! I tried Smackdown 2 with the texture smoothing on and d*mn! it was alot better. Same with Metal Gear Solid. I\'m gonna buy some more on the weekend but am not sure which ones. I\'ve got my eye on SSX and maybe Armored Core 2. I\'ve heard alot of great stuff about SSX and while the magazines seen to say that AC2 is crap, all my friends say its great. Can anyone make some suggestions? Thanks.

P.S. Got any ideas for a pic?

Ok, um now I got a question. My PS2 vibrates as others had complained about, but not very much. Only while its first starting up. Not only that, but sometimes I hear a sound that sounds like the disc is slipping, you know that scraping kinda sound. But it only happens with Tekken Tag Tournament, not on any of my old PSone games or even on DVD movies, maybe I\'m just overreacting but I just got that d*mn thing and would kill myself if it got wrecked.

Congratulations. Does that mean we won\'t be seeing any more of your weekly "I wanna PS2!" rants?;) Or will you be yelling that about the games now? Speaking of which - get some more games! Especially TS, Madden 2001, and DW2. You cannot go wrong with these games. Cogratulations once again, and have fun gaming.

My PS2 died on me and I sent it to the Sony Service Center in Irvine, California. lol..

But Snake, I heard that Timesplitters is much better than UT.. Ridge Racer is pretty good, but the tracks are obviously mostly the same as previous games in the series, just with some slight changes.

Other good games are DOA 2: Hardcore, Dynasty Warriors 2 (wohoo!!), and Madden

hey JC632X, don\'t feel to down, your day will come. if it makes you feel any better, i am also still waiting for my PS2, because the US PS2 here is still about 720$ with no games! i won\'t pay more than 400$ !! , in addition i don\'t know if a US PS2 is better or a UK PS2 because of the DVD region codes problem..

as for your question, I can\'t be sure since I didn\'t get the chance to hear it meself, but me thinks yuor ps2 is doing just fine, mine makes th same sound, it just has a very loud cd driver.
play now, worry later, as long as it works properly you shouldn\'t worry, and might something happen, you can\'t do a think about it, if it happens it happens

If you have TTT, i recommend you a game with a good durability. It\'d be SSX if you live in USA and Rayman Revolution if you live in Europe. They\'re the best games right now IMO( with TTT).

About your PS2 problem: you have probably noticed the difference between the PSX CD-ROM speed and the PS2 one. I\'ve said that cos you don\'t notice that sound with the PSX games and the DVDs( when the PS2 reads the data at lower speeds). Anyway, check that your games are ok to be totally sure.
