Sorry i cant help with questions like that. i havent got my ps2 yet. i would recommend reading the manual though. i think that you only turn off fast disk speed for ps1 titles. but as i said, i\'m not sure.

No you only turn these options on when you want to play a ps1 game, you dont even have to turn them on at all,if you dont want to,but it does make most of the games(PS1)look alot better.Hope this helps.

P.S.The fast loading and texture smooth does not make any difference to PS2 games.
On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.
But on the 16 of March i realised i couldn\'t ever say bye to you guys, so i am staying here for good!

Also remember that if you switch off your PS2, the texture smoothing will default to the off position.

yup the fast disk speed and texture smoothing is only for ps1 games. If you turn off ur ps2 by the switch on the back, you have to go back to ur system configuration and set it back to fast and smooth. Use soft reset to keep ur config without having to set it again each time you boot up. Just hit ur reset button down and itll put ur ps2 in power save mode. To start it up just hit the reset up again.

I knew these options existed but didn\'t use them as they seemed well risky.

I might try them for PS1 games see what the difference is.

I don\'t really notice a difference, what should I be looking for people?
