I have a vertical stand and i think it does a great deal of helping. It lowers the risk of the PS2 tipping over by ALOT! My vertical stand saved my PS2 when my little cousin almost knocked it over by pulling on the controller. WHEW! I say get one, its only $17 and it looks WAY COOLER!~

I like the look of it vertically.

But putting the disks inside is sometimes a real fcing pain !
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

i had the interact one that is black and hold 10 game cases with it, for like 10 bucks, but then i decided to buy the official one, just cause it looks so much nicer, i like it a lot and it is a very good insurance policy against it tipping over, i you love your ps2, you will get a vert stand, for its saftey and your sanity

I\'m not going to buy vertical stands for few reasons...

first, we have cats on our house and they usually get their eyes at warm and tall objectives... :)

two, I\'d still be afraid PS2 to fall down and break...

and three, they cost money and I don\'t have any extra to spare...

I like the way you guys say it protects it from tipping over.  I have a better idea for keeping it from tipping over.  Keep it Horizontal!

I have mine horizontal because it fits in my stereo rack.  I can\'t see any reason to even want it vertical.  I just lay on my side and pretend without having to deal with my ssx disc getting scratched or whatever I see people on here asking about.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

ok the chances for it tipping over without the stand is like 50% depending in the area around it, with a stand hmmm, about20% to 10% of it tippingover depending on the area arround it, sure some peeps like video here think that the only solution to keeping it safe is in horizontal mod, yet the ps2 it made to be vert. your ps2 right now is saying, please vid, please put me vert, im dieng to show you how cool i look, you wont regret it, come on vid, join us in the vert trend, everyones doing it, mWaHa

vert is safe oh yeah, and i have heard of the disk haveing circulare scratches even when it is horizontal, so either way it scratches just for the record :)

Or some sort of epoxy actually...  Just glue the damn thing to the floor.  Then you never have to worry.  Why is this always a debate.....  ITs mostly for looks, it ads a little flare to the thing...

If you buy then good for you, if you don\'t...then you don\'t..

I have a vertical stand.I bought for the coolness factor.I keep it vertical. But it can be a real pain in the good\'ol ass to put discs in,especially at night when the lights are out.
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!

I keep mine horizontal. Why? Its easier to put discs in, it cools better(I think), it can\'t tip over, and it still looks cool.

P.S.  Should I get a horizontal stand?

Matt, if you\'ve kept it horizontally it won\'t tip over would it?
