Final Fantasy movie DVD
« on: January 08, 2001, 02:44:48 AM »
after the release of the movie at cinemas it appears that this movie will go to DVD in two different formats.

from http://www.darkhorizons.com

They\'ve also indicated there\'ll be two DVDs - one for regular players and one for the Play Station 2. Aida: "with the PS2 being DVD compatible, we are working on a very interactive product. Namely, you will be able to render certain sequences of the movie in real time, and be your own director, and change camera angles and shots. That\'s the enhanced interactive capability that our research and development team is producing currently. Hopefully, that will go on the PS2 version of the DVD".

I wonder if the movie will flop ?
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

I will be totally shocked if it does. You\'ve got the fans of the series and then you\'ve got the people and look at it and say

"Those aren\'t real people?"

so I think it will attract those who didn\'t want to go see the special effects of Titan AE seeing how this movie will be on a more mature level.

Very interesting news :)

A ps2 version of the DVD? Now this is something new and should be done more.

Different camera angles... be a director... wow...

The movie won\'t be a flop... it will be REALLY GOOD... I can predict...

at least it looks really cool... I\'m definetely going to watch it even for the special effects...

i personally doubt it. Having seen the intro\'s to final fantasy IX i cant see how the movie could be anything less that spectacular.
If the features on the DVD are true or not, i know that this will definatley be a DVD which will be lying on my rack.

it could have the sh*ttiest story and plot known to man and I will still see it. I\'m a big 3D animation fan:)

Right.
If anything I think it may suffer from having a predictable storyline. Or if they "dumb" it down for a PG rating it could suffer.

Good news Clip, it won\'t be PG.
« Reply #12 on: January 09, 2001, 01:03:29 AM »
It will be PG-13. That, of coarse doesn\'t gureentee that the story will be any great. But at least they didn\'t dumb it down to "kiddie" statue.

What game is the film based on 7 or is it just a film base in the Final Fantasy Universe?
