soul caliber 2!
« on: January 09, 2001, 01:27:36 AM »
check this out! http://ps2.ign.com/

ign states

"The next Soul Calibur?"

"Not too long ago, IGN brought you the news on a possible Soul Calibur sequel from Namco. A recent statement by the company basically said the following, "I\'m not sure if it\'s (considered) a sequel or not, but we\'re working on something." Vague to be sure, but it just backs up what we\'ve been telling you all along."

this would be very obvious since SC was DC best launch game
so ps2 might get one of DC\'s best game!

what do u guys think!

It isn\'t a sequel per se, it is just an update al la Sould Edge to Sould Calibur, or Soul Blade to Soul Edge, or whatever it goes :) it will probably be something like Soul ......, but not SC2

I\'m sure it\'ll be SC2.  Namco has been working on both T4 and SC2 since last October.

hmm, you wanna provide a link to that? I am guessing you can\'t directly from the source and not a rumor.

That would totally kick ass if SC2 comes out for PS2. Soul Calibur is the only \'old\' DC game I still play. Imagine Soul Calibur\'s graphics on PS2. Yummm... I\'m praying for it :)

ea i like the way that SC is easy to adapt to - i hadn\'t even played it before and whooped a lot of people that had been known to play it all the time

Plus it would be cool to play on the ps2 since i don\'t have DC
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

Sublime - you just pointed out to me why I don\'t like the game: It is a button masher.

I, of higher tastes (:)) require a more sophisticated game, Virtua Fighter 3tb!

BTW in a previous post, I mentioned VFX was being shown on January 23rd, it is actually February 23rd, sorry for the confusion.

Button mashing is FUN. That\'s the whole idea of playing video GAMES. GAMES are suppose to FUN.

The best thing about SC is, just by tweaking your button mashing routine a bit, you\'ll get quite a lot of stupendous moves without all those ff<-ffbufb->-><-dfb crap which nobody can pulls off to save your butt in the nick of time.

you mean like a QCFPK, ppkdk? Hmm, I seem to have great fun beating the pants off everyone in my arcade. OH!!! You probably dont have a large arcade near you where tourneys and stuff get set up. THAT is where you go to have fun.

Note: It may be fun to be a button masher on a button mashing game, but button mashing me on VF (any version) will result in you not getting any hits, and me doing drunken punches with a heel kick on your newly mutated butt! :D
