Anyway you may like FIFA2001 it\'s a nice game though admittedly not al that great.

you didn\'t understand what he said, he didn\'t compare football to hockey, he compared fifa 2001 to hockey, and he\'s right, cause imo fifa is in no way a football simulation, it\'s one of the fakest football games around, and I personnaly don\'t understand why it\'s so succesfull.
btw. lavan is one of the most diehard football fans as far as i know on this board, so he knows what he\'s saying, ask him about iss, he can tell yo alot about it.

Ok my mistake...

But hockey definately does not rule the world!! 90% of the world doesn\'t know what the game\'s about..it is widespread only in USA...not even in Russia which are very good at it (i think) is it very popular. On the other hand football (soccer for most of u) is the no.1 sport in Europe, South AMerica and Africa, and now in Asia as well. When I mean no.1 I mean half the population in these countries live and football especially in ex. Brazil,Argentina,Italy etc

LOL Yes, but that\'s the problem with Fifa 2001 - it does play like a poor game of ice hockey, however, in real life the sport of soccer bears no resemblence to hockey! It\'s a very very poor game IMO, rent it first. I\'m glad I didn\'t have to buy my copy.  [/B]

I think its a great game. You should rent it first though to see if you like it.

To tell the truth, it depends... some days are PS2 days, and other days are forum days...  as fate would have it, today was a bit of both.

Just to let you know, I don\'t get home til 7:00PM(School, Wrestling, Friends), and I leave home at 7:45AM, and usually go to bed around 12, so that\'s my spare time chart up there.

Yea my day is mostly a mix too. I get up at 6:00 and the bus for school comes at 7:00. (Hopefully in 2 years I\'ll have my own car) I get hoem at like 2:15. I can do my h/w whenever, or play my PS2 or come here. But once my sister gets home from school, at around 3:30 theres no more computer for awhile, lol. Around 7 I eat, and sumtimes I\'ll watch a movie of my ps2 after dinner, and sumtimes i can\'t play anymore cause my parents watch tv in the same room my ps2 is so i can\'t play alot on weekdays :(

I wake up at 6:30 am, go to school at 7:30 am, get off school at 2:30 pm, get home at 3:00 pm, do homework/go on computer/play Ps2(its 7pm here and I\'m still not done with my homework), do one of those I didn\'t do earlier, eat dinner, go to bed at 10-1 pm. Sigh, the hell of school. You know, I don\'t mind school so much, its just the homework that annoys th f*ck outta me.

sorry if i wasn\'t clear on what i meant on the soccer/hockey thing. I would in no way compare the 2 sports in the real worls. They are, as you sid like comparing apples and bananas or something to that effect. I just meant the gameplay mechanics. It does seem to me that they may play similar due to the similar field/rink and goal setup. Think about both have a field/rink , net/goal, puck/ball , and players trying to score into their opponents net/goal. Soccer, once again in video game land, seems to be on a much larger scale. So if the gameplay is somewhat different then I\'m all for it, but if it is almost the sam e as hockey then i\'ll save my money and just rent it once in a while.
And let me state once again i was only comparing the 2 in the video game sense, as anyone can see how completely different the 2 sports are in the real world
p.s. i heard soccer players run something like 6 miles in one game......ummm ouch (for me anyway)
