Yeah, well... I live in the american midwest where most people have trouble gettin a full 56kbits on a normal phone line... Heh heh but I am sitting pretty at 1.5Mbits  man this kicks

Isnt 1.5 megabits only like 300k?? 1.5 megaBYTEs would be impressive, but I doubt anyone regularly gets that kind of download speed.

BTW: I usually get 3 megabytes(3000 kb) per sec surfing speed and around 300k d/l speed which is really alot actually.

I have had cable for 4 years, Burlington Ontario was one of the first cities in NA to get a broadband cable set [ ala Cgocable] Back in like early 97 I was running on a 500kbs samsung/hitachi [ I can\'t remember]. I now run on a 10mb[ it\'s running @ around 3.2mb\'s] samsung. It\'s capable of ten megs, so when they switch to the new system [ which fell over before because SO many people all logged on @ once and 4 other reasons] it will run @ 10 mbs, we will be one of [ I think outa 4] cities which are "test cities" and are running @ 10megs. I can\'t wait to see m CS adn q3 ping then :)


BTW right now the system has a "Free installation + one month free deal, and is only round 44$ for the TOTAL package" I have 2 comps on a hub set up and soon my ps2 will be plugging into it :)

I got Telocity DSL yesterday and love it! I had Cable as well I think both DSL and Cable is good (I think DSL is a bit faster though).

DSL on average runs @ about 700-1200kbs yet cable runs 1500-3000kbs. CableIS faster but DSL is more available in smaller areas. Cables Upload speeds are Inferiour to it\'s dloads [ DSl has better upload [ compared to it\'s dload]] but even though cable uploads are less than there dloads there still faster than DSL. this is to the best of my knowledge and I\'m sure some DSL\'S are faster than then some cables but the modjority rules.
