BTW You guys where saying 1500kbs gives you like 300kbs when yur actually dloading.
When I say 1500-3000kbs [for example] that is the connection you have with your server/central office. With DSl cable phone line etc your only using that speed to connect to your server, after that it depends on how fast the server your dloading froms connection with your server is and how fast your server is to begin with. dload speeds all depend i have dloaded @ 2.5 megs [ movies [ not streaming VCD files
GLADIATOR ]] and I somtimes get as low as 5 kbs [ but I change the server and on average I dload at 175kbs] ]. To find your ping with you sever I would suggest using a whois program. anything above 50ms is TOO high for cable I am currently running at 1ms [ I think might be 5 ]. If you want to see HOW fast [ roughly this isn\'t THAT acurate] go here to CNETS clock speed thingy
http://webservices.cnet.com/Network/Download/Bandwidth/bandwidth.aspI just clocked 2500kbs:) I don\'t think this thing I think is THAT acurate . If anyone has a program for doing similier checks could you please tell me .
