Telstra, The company you LOVE too HATE.

Yep. I\'m getting very sick of telstra. (there my ISP, Internet service provider) This is my temper fit. Too telstra.

Just some ideas and my thoughts on the AUP.

Yea. Umm I find this Acceptable use policy a little unfair..
Example.
People sign on thinking their getting UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS. Yet they are not. This acceptable use policy is really limiting people too a limited amount of download. Thus, Making people Download only so much.

I\'ve read somewhere it is 100mb per day. Most people with CABLE/BROADBAND download more then this.

I help run websites and need too download a lot of demos for games. I do reviews and previews on them. I find this Acceptable use Policy a contradiction on the Unlimited download I\'ve signed on for. If I get 6 red lights. I get banned for a month.

How is that unlimited downloads. If I download too much I get punished for downloading what I THOUGHT was an unlimited download limit. (Guess you should FORCE people into reading the fine print.)

I\'ve also got 2 people running of my Cable modem. (My brother and I)
Does this affect BOTH users? If I download 100mb and my Brother downloads 100mb. Do we get a Red light?

Even so, The AUP monitor is completely useless.

How does this help me?
The date today is the 2nd of February. Yet this is only showing me up too the 30th of Jun.
That’s not going to help me keep under the DAILY limit.

So what good does it do for people? It tells them that they have kept under the limit PAST few days. How about telling people how much they have downloaded at the PRESENT time.. Maybe have a Mega byte and Megabit monitor. That tells people how much they have downloaded for the day, at the moment.

Example.
I just download 10 Meg for the day. Then I go too check the AUP. It tells me I\'ve downloaded 10 Meg.
So then I say. Hey I can download more. I\'ll get another 80 Meg.. Then after I\'ve downloaded that 80 Meg.
I then go check the AUP. It says I\'ve downloaded 90 Meg etc.

I have 4 other friends that are running of BPA. They are saying the AUP is a load of crap. People are signing on for something they don\'t get.
I\'m also wondering how come I\'ve been getting cut off so much lately? My friends are having the same troubles. Yet, We aren\'t getting any emails on updates.

Thanks for reading all this.
Regards, Nathan Ross.

Though i don\'t do full reviews/previews. I help with some. :D

Well, if the servers he\'s downloading from can\'t serve it fast enough then there\'ll still be loadtimes. But 100 mbit... Wow, that\'s awesome! :)
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
(thanks Chizzy!)

No it isn\'t ppl here in Iceland are getting used to high bandwith alot of ppl have either ISDN or ADSL.And some company started and their goal is for every home here to have a similar connection their digging up the streets and installing some fiber optic cables(I think that\'s the english word for it)But normally those 100mb\'s are shared so the more ppl there are in the neighbourhood the less bandwith they\'ll get.But I won\'t have to share the line and we\'ll be on our own server.
