Anyone here know how to patch a demo disc?

This is really buggin me. I bought the UK mag with demo disc for the GT3 movies, but because I have a JAP MODDED PS2, I need to patch and copy it to work. I do this with all the games I have bought. But it doesnt seem to work with the demo disc (using Fargo or Universal Patcher by Paradox). Anyone know whats wrong. Fargo says that its been patched, but it doesnt work???

I am in desperate need of an modchip which doesn\'t require patching and swapping, they have one to play psone games on ps2 but no one for ps2 games
