My opinion of Royal Rumble 2001 was that is was a great PPV with a nice, but very obvious ending. Don\'t get me wrong, I like Stone Cold, hes one of my favorites, ranking in about third under The Rock and The Undertaker, but I reall would have liked to see The Rock win this years Rumble. After all, everyone of the past hugely popular superstars has won the Rumble 2 years in a row. For example, Hulk Hogan(I hate that fag), Shawn Michaels, and Stone Cold. I thought it was pretty stupid having him win the Rumble 3 times. It looks to me like they are building up to Stone Cold\\Triple H or maybe a Stone Cold\\The Rock title match at Wrestlemania.
Anyway, as far as I\'m concerned this years Rumble was a success with its only weak points being Chyna\'s "re-injury" and the screw job WWF Title match, and of course the crappy ending.
The WWF title match was really looking to be a good match with some excellent performance by Triple H and some excellent sucking by Kirk Angel. The cat fight scene between Stephanie and Trish was expected, as was Vince\'s involvement in the match. However the end screwed it all to hell. I hate Triple H, but the WWF title is better in his hands than in Angle\'s.
Chyna\'s match looked to be good with Ivory getting the crap beaten out of her, but the ending sucked.
Overall I give it about a 8.
