I personally think that Shenmue and Headhunter would be superb on PS2.
Headhunter looks beautiful and Shenmue is a great game that is long.
What other games by Sega do you feel would be good on our beloved ps2\'s?

I would like to Phantasy Star and the whole Shenmue series come to PS2.  I would also like to see the whole Sega sports line come over to the PS2 because EA is starting to disappoint, especially with NBA Live.

don\'t think shenmue would be a psx2 game, do you realize how much work that would take to port that game over there, let alone create another for psx2. PSO would be a good idea, that game will probably go multi-platform/multi-online gamming.

A game like shenmue would work really well with a hardrive, can you just imagine the possibilities.

While you might see Shenmue 3 or 4 on PS2, its unlikely they will port the 1st 2...

I will say this point out, first off sega games on any console will look good. Though it is my OPINION that sega could really take there game to a great hight, with the gameCUBE and xbox, these platforms will really make sega\'s  games shine, no doubt!

As for psx2 i would like to see jetset radio on that platform, now someone was saying a few mouths ago i think it was DR yamsen or something, said that the creators of  jetset radio, said the game couldn\'t be done on psx2 cause alot
of VR RAM is need in the dc version and psx2 2mb is not enough CAN someone clairfy this for me????

I don\'t remember the reason, but the developers did say PS2 couldn\'t do the cell shading technic they used.

See Klonoa 2: Lunatea\'s Veil http://ps2.ign.com/previews/15360.html
and
Popolocrois Monogatari III
http://ps2.ign.com/previews/14011.html

it can be done easily, it would just take a little bit of effort to port it.

Uhhh, they were different techniques. JGR would need to be built from the ground up on PS2... if they wanna do that, it\'ll likely be a sequel, not the original.

Why you continually ignore the PS2 as a viable platform for these titles is beyond me.  However, since the FF series is pretty much a PS2 exclusive (at least with X) then maybe shenmue would sell better on the NGC.  However, I wouldn\'t rule out a PS2 Shenmue JUST yet....

See Chrono\'s post.  The VRAM is used in a different way then Sega\'s.  The amount of Vram in the PS2 is about as useless a statement as saying it\'s a 128-bit system.

As for games on the system...

1) NiGHTS 2
2) Guardian Heroes 2
3) Burning Rangers 2
4) Planet Harriers
5) Panzer Dragoon 3
6) Virtua Tennis 2
7) Shenmue 3 (i dont think 1 or 2 will be ported)
8) Virtual On 3
9) Crazy Taxi 2
10) NFL2K2
11) Skies of Arcadia 2
12) Virtua Cop 3
13) Virtua Fighter 4
14) Shinobi
15) Phantasy Star 5

Long list, lots of sequels, but hey... I\'d LOVE to see those either remade with the PS2\'s abilities or sequels that are just as good as their previous incarnations.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

Are you insane! I love her character, she stays.
\"The only thing loves done is put you in this position, I say kill her off!\"
Yeah, but you say a lot of things..
and how does that work....  You\'re a bicycle..

i don\'t but let me ask you this, why did people rule out SEGA SATURN as a viable platform????

Well that is why i asked someone to clarify it for me, cause like i said i wasn\'t sure, and i felt that psx2 should be able, without a doubt to handle a game like JET SET RADIO. There answer to that was to not port the game but instead they would have to bulid it up from scratch.

I will be honest here for sec. SEGA is in my Opinion is one of, if not the most talented video game software developers on the PLANET. They bring more innovation and originality to the market than any other company out there. Nintendo is very good, but SEGA is by far, better. All nintendo does is continually recycle mario metroid and zelda over and over, while sega creates new and original ideas.

Therefore with that been said, i feel that with a company like sega, full of talent and creativity, they should focus there strengths towards to the most powerful and creative hardware out there. I have one word to say people "HARDRIVE". GameCUBE is GOOD, but lacks a HDD. with a powerful system and HDD SEga could make games that nobody could touch. if none of you fully grasp the potential, and the power HHD has, integrated into a system to harness  the full force of a developers idea’s I suggest you read this article, PLEASE DO READ, ALL OF IT, if you do not real this link i give you, then none of you will understand my point to it\'s full extent)!! http://www.msxbox.com/hardware_php/hd.php3

Just think shemue 3 using the capabilities of hdd, can you imagine, you have to admit that would be incredible. Example if you shot at a wall, or cut a tree down when you go to play the game again the bullet holes will still be there, and the tree with start to grow again.
Make sure you READ that link I gave!!!!

So the question is what would you rather have sega do, focus all there energy to make the best possible games on the best platform out there that will take advantage of a SEGA’s gift or rather them just port classics and make custom games for all systems.

Regardless SEGA will make for all platforms, they need the money. This is just my opinion, no trouble, just wanted to get your thoughts on the subject????

5) Panzer Dragoon 3 (sega has shown no intention to update the series)
6) Virtua Tennis 2 (I think this is already confirmed, or a similar title)
9) Crazy Taxi 2 (DC exclusive)
10) NFL2K2 (too little development time, but 2k3 is almost a sure thing)
12) Virtua Cop 3 (light gun game - don\'t count on it)
13) Virtua Fighter 4  (already confirmed)

Each other hopeful is an either remote or large possiblity, alghough I would expect less adult oritented titles like Sonic and Nights to go to the NGC.
