Gran Turismo 3 release date confirmed

After more delays than London during a tube strike, Sony Japan has given Gran Turismo 3 a solid release date

April 25 is the date you\'ll be able to grab an import copy of stunning PlayStation 2 racer Gran Turismo 3. After numerous delays and a heap of design changes, the only racer in development set to redefine the genre is finally here.
Although the latest version of the PlayStation smash franchise carries less vehicles than its 32-bit siblings, the graphical quality of Gran Turismo 3 has to be seen to be believed. PlayStation 2 owners will get the first real taste of what the console is capable of, and plenty of extras have been added to keep fans happy. Wet races have been included for the first time, as well as new tracks.

At the moment, SCEE only has a tentative June release for the UK and Europe, but we\'ll keep you posted when a confirmed date comes along.

I just found them lying around at http://www.videogames.com with the other new shots, groovy.

I especially like the lighting on the right side picture. Never seen anything like that in a game... only in... real life, dang :D
