SonyWeb just recently posted an article in the Japan News Bytes section saying that Armored Core2: Another Age will be released sometime this Spring in Japan! AC2:AA will have over 100 new missions, enhanced graphics, 25 new customizable mech designs, and will be compatible with AC2 save game data. But by far the most interesting new feature will be NETWORK GAMEPLAY! Thats right. Ya better watch out cause this means I get to wipe the floor with your sorry mechs once it get released in the US.

Here is the original article:

The main news in Sonyland today concerns the recently announced network-compatible Armored Core title, entitled Armored Core 2: Another Age. Game Watch has posted some large scans of the game, which will feature both iLink and modem support. These two peripherals will allow the two-player networked matches, which are the main selling point of this title. Currently set for release sometime this spring, Armored Core 2: Another Age will feature over 100 new missions, compatibility with AC2\'s saved game data, over 25 new customizable mech designs, and, as previously mentioned, the network gameplay. Check out the hi-res screens below, and visit the game\'s official page for yourself here.

Yea i could care less about anything you said except the fact that you mention "Network Gameplay", i am so happy to see that games are gonna start supporting this even if it is in japan, because that means we are not to far behind, another topic, another something to wait for.

but i do care so don\'t worry

This Sig is a Work in Progress.

Well if they don\'t enhance the game engine and get rid of the awful slowdown count me out

I accepted this in AC2 and it was a decent game but if they\'re going to recycle the existing gameengine then that sucks

Hopefully they have things worked out, cause slowdown and 56k could be a nightmare

I think the game engine was fine but they will have to fix that slowdown.

The slowdown was the worse,

Aliasing could be fixed/and or more polygons.

I accepted AC2 as a launch game but there needs tobe some improvements, plus you\'d probably wipe the floor with me online

Guys are forming "Clans" all over the place for the network battles.  The guys in my forum are the "Brotherhood of Steel".  Some guys want to go it alone as "mercs".  Either way we will be able to see who can really play.  :)

Oh!  and the AC on the left is using a core from the PSX AC series.  IGN.com said that you can use the old AC saves as well but I\'ll wait for an official word from FROMSoft before I believe that.
Like mech games?  From Armored Core to Frame Gride.  Gundam to Zero Divide.  Come to Mech Madness.

Finally someone who\'ll agree with me.  I expected sooooooo much more from this next installment of AC.  I was seriously dissapointed when I found the slowdown and that only 10% of the weapons are actually useful on a mech.

well to be honest I couldn\'t even pass the first stage off that game (it was my first mech game) and I got so pissed that I returned it and rented a diff game, and that\'s my story.

Well what about GunGriffon Blaze Online?

Storming enemy fortress side by side is fun.

But the ammo keep running out fast.
