I went in to Electronic Boutique today to pre-order GT3 and Z.O.E,so i asked when they are going to take pre-orders for GT3,he said "GT3 what is that"I almost started laughing at him,so i had to tell him what it was,so he took my pre-order,then i asked about Z.O.E and they had no recordes of the game in there books,and they didnt know that the game was being bundled with MGS2 in japan!!!!!!!!
What is going on these will be two of the BIGGEST GAMES THIS YEAR and they didnt have a clue what they were,it was like they were not even games shop,and the trouble is they dont care because there is no one to compete with them,it just makes me sooooo angry.

1-My EB knows what they are, its just yours
2-Theyre the biggest games for the first half of the year maybe, but not the whole year.
3-Did you actually use the initials (ie:GT and ZOE)? Maybe they use the full names... then again, maybe the salesman was a moron. But like I said, the guys at my EB know their stuff.

I\'d also add, I was at GameStop, and the salesman needed me to explain Sega.net to him...

I doubt ZOE will be the biggest game of the year or even the first half of the year. It is a good game but games like that do not always sell well.

I used to work at EB and those guys really knew what they were talking about. The problem IMO is the managers. If the manager doesn\'t know anything he is not going to know if his employees have any gaming knowledge.

The EB I go to are usually very knowledgeable.  The bad thing is all the employees are hideously ugly.  :D

Yup, sounds like you have dumbass EB workers...but, for some reason, I dont believe you. It seems like this thread was really made because you thought it was funny (even though it isnt, really) and never happened to you in real life. But, if you came into the EB I work at and said "I wanna put 10 dollars down on Z-O-E and G-T-3 for my P-S-2" I would probaly laugh a little bit (to myself anyway).

lol merkin..Gohan, i dont have to worry..my manager knows ALOT..he got pratically EVERY system..we he use to own EVERY system but got rid of some of them

yea EB has the good employees and the bad ones - i have noticed that it really almost comes down to age - usually the older employees don\'t know anything

One time i actually ended helping a customer find what they wanted when this employee was leading her into the wrong direction, dang i bet she felt a little dumb, but thats how life goes.

There are 2 cool guys at my local EB, and the rest are all ignorant asses.  Here\'s a little story for y\'all explaining this:

One day I was in at EB (this was a couple weeks ago, BTW), and as usual I was checking out the mags.  In walks some normal guy, who obviously didn\'t know anything about gaming.  He goes to the counter, which was a couple feet away from where I was, and starts a conversation with 2 of the EB employees.  I didn\'t bother to listen in, until the guy asked a question resembling:  "I heard Xbox is coming out this year, and it\'ll be better than PS2."  I started to get interested, so I began to listen.  One of the aforementioned ignorant ass employees said something along the lines of:  "Yeah, it\'s scheduled for a Fall 2001 release.  It\'s going to be 3 times as powerful as the PS2, it\'ll feature online play right outta the box, and it\'ll be getting all of the good PS2 games."  Then, the 2nd ignorant ass employee said something like:  "It\'ll be a much better system.  Once it launches I\'m going to trade in my PS2 for one."  The first ignorant ass employee casually agreed with his ignorant ass counterpart.  I nearly puked right there!  I put the mag I was "reading" back and immediately walked out.  Now I only go visit when one (or both) of the cool employees are working.  And by "cool" I mean they aren\'t dumbasses who judge a console\'s greatness by its power.

What have I learned from this story?  I dunno....really....
