All I really care to add to this is that (since GT3 is just talk until its in my grubby little hands) the fact of the matter is, four months have passed thus far and the PS2 basically has dog crap for driving games.

Maybe I\'m missing something, but RRV is (as it always has been -- and I appreciate that its always been honest to its heritage) too arcadey for me, and that\'s the best driving game the PS2 has as far as I\'m aware.

I\'ve tried Driving Emotion: Type S, but consider that too to be quite unrealistic (or at least not very well controllable).  It tries to market itself as a simulation, but its not even close!

And don\'t get me started about Stunt Devils, that slop is not a driving game, period.  That\'s a coin hunt.  BS.

Forgot to mention Midnight Club.  That probably deserves some props.  But face it, 2 environments/tracks gets dull pretty quick.

And from the same folks, frankly I *do* enjoy Smuggler\'s Run.  But again, that\'s not the kind of "driving game" I\'m hungering for.

I want GT3!  And I want GT3 *clones* as soon as possible!!!  I want maaaaaany different environments/tracks and some seriously programmed AI.  That last point does not equate to 5 competitive cars that stay 3 car lengths or more away from you...that means AI like, frankly, only Codemasters seems to be able to program.  Their whole TOCA series is the bomb.  And to that end, it is their PSX games (with the *smoothing* option turned on) that rocks my PS2 when it comes to driving games.

Oh yeah, one other driving game to mention.  EA\'s Nascar 2001.  I can dig soooo much of this game.  In so many ways this too has given me a *fix* for GT3.  But like many driving fans, the only real bummer here is that you kinda tire of roundy-round the oval track deal.  Still though, well programmed AI for the most part.  MAAAAANNNY tracks.  And quite good controls.  Its worst point is that it doesn\'t seem to take advantage of the PS2\'s graphics power (especially when you think that this is the same EA -- although another team within same -- that developed Madden 2001).

EA also has some sort of formula racer (might be Formula 2001?), but I\'ve not dug those cars too much, so I haven\'t tried this game yet.  Too touchy; gotta drive soooo defensively.  Just a little tooo simmy for me.

Anyway...there\'s my 2 pennies.

PS.  And although I like Sky Oddesey, don\'t even get me started on the lack of flight games!  Yeah, I\'m looking forward to Ace Combat 4 (when it, like GT3, FINALLY comes out), but hey, the PSX had Warhawk immediately and that game absolutely rocked for its time!!!  Someone revive the programmers of Warhawk and bring a sequel for the PS2!!!  Oh jeez,...looks like I got "started"...sorry... ;-)

Picture this: Dave finds an available seat for his \"Aggressive Drivers Anonymous\" encounter group session.   Saying, \"Hello\" he sits amongst his support group of S2K owners...  Smiling, they rock ever-so-gently to and fro in their chairs...humming peacefully...drinking coffee...and rolling little AutoArt & Maisto S2000s across their knees.  At this moment, the group responds in unison, \"Hi, w1ngman!\" :D
