When the heck are the annoying and untalented boy bands gonna go away?

They have been here for at least 2 years now i think maybe more. When are they gonna fade away - i thought they would have a long time ago but they keep releasing one cruddy album right after the other so they keep the hype going, when i say when will the stupid boy bands leave.

Never. They have existed since the good ole\' days. Remember The Temptations? Four Tops? The Pengiuns? All boy bands. They would sing at the time popular songs and dance. Agree\'d, the first two I mentioned was Motown "soul" artist, but in the basic idea and form they was boy bands.

Boy Bands did go down abit durin\' the "grunge" scene. But they was still there. After NKOTB (new kids on the block) went away. They was still here. Just not as popular. There was bands like TAKE THAT, All 4 One and such.

And with good reason. Most women love boy bands. You gather abunch of "cute" guys singing love songs in perfect harmony and women will go crazy for it. The true success for a boy band is when they can attract the pre-teen, teen, adult crowd. N\'Sync has done exactly that. And, unless by some chance the next album is a complete waste of airplay (i.e, no radio hits) then they will continue to ride the wave of success.

Yea but the boy band of the past actually had talen - the temptations and KC and the Sunshine band - they made songs that are considered classics - but the boy bands of today are nothing more than a ore fabrcated group of copoerate assignned indiviuals who are out to make money by honing in on girls gulbility and hormones.

I did like the older boy bands because they did it with talent not propaganda - but all i want right now is for the boy bands of today to fade a way a little faster

I\'ll give you that man. The Temptations and most the old MoTown artist got started out by singing on the corner of the street daily. That was talent. There was no vocal distortion and such either. It was pure talent and practice.

But like everything, Boy Bands evoled into todays generation. And that is fast beats and sell sex. Talent? I won\'t say they don\'t have any. It is hard to sing in perfect harmony and remember the dance routines they do. Classics? No, by no means will any of their music be remembered as classics. You can say the Temtpations to someone who wasn\'t even around when they was popular, now 40 years later and they will know the classics like "My girl". In 40 years, say the name N\'sync and they will look at you confused and puzzled.

i am glad someone agrees with me on this - yea i just don\'t see why they have stayed around for so long - the media keeps predicting theri demise and every time they are proved wrong

But i don\'t see it lasting another year or so...hopefully

All depends. It depends on how fast the POP music genre changes. Usually, that is pretty fast. They\'ll go away and pretty soon someone will replace them.

BackStreet Boys, O-TOWN and so on are just about dead already. N\'SYNC isn\'t though.

Boy bands are gay. There was no Nkotb. It was Ngotb ( New Gays on the Block ), or at least the band was awful.

Maybe, just maybe, boy bands attract girls but there it leaves. Here, where I live, if a boy is certain boy-band fan he\'s automatically called a fag.

But usually they\'re not so talented. Maybe they can sing. So what?

But there\'s this boom of teen-artists wich sell because of their looks ( Britney Spears for example ), and girl-bands too ( Spice girls really started the trend )

But I don\'t care if they exist. I don\'t like their music. so I don\'t listen to them.
