PS2 Alone in the Dark Confirmed!!!

Infogrames made the surprise announcement today at the Milia Show in France, confirming a long-held rumor that the game was in development for PlayStation 2. An Infogrames representative told IGNPS2 that Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare has been in development for a few months now and that the same team that\'s working on the PlayStation, PC and Dreamcast versions, Darkworks, is creating the port to PlayStation 2.

"it\'s going to be a port, but we probably will add in graphic updates and play changes, depending on the feedback we get from people who play the PlayStation and other versions," said the rep.

The New Nightmare is Infogrames\' beautiful new survival horror game, the fourth in the Alone in the Dark series that started way back on the PC. The game enables players to take on the role of two lead characters, and focuses in on Western religious themes, as well as displaying a gorgeous set of original textures, realtime lighting effects, and original artwork.

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is slated for a fall release on PlayStation 2, and this summer for PlayStation (PS one).

but is there any news on there other game "the Devil inside" which is like Alone in the Dark, but has a game show theme to it, in this one you have to protect your self and the camera man following you.

I loved part two... but for some reason I haven\'t played any other part in the series... they\'re on discount now though. *sees a huge light bulb appear above his head* ...huh?

A whole new adventure for us all .
Wonder if it will have the Giant Mutant spiders that where in the 4th one on thee PC ?

i am not frightend of spiders in real life, but for some reason they gave me the creeps :sconf:.

I don\'t know if I can wait that long.  I think I\'ll just get the Dreamcast version of the game.  This game sounds really great and a lot of work has been put into it.  I hope it doesn\'t turn out crappy.
