What are YOUR E3 predictions?

Well, Ginko inspired this topic from a post he made in one of the other threads (and I mean other in the KINDEST way possible) :rolleyes:  Anyways, given all the information that we have now, who thinks they have the most accurate predictions for E3?  We should make a contest out of this and revive it during E3.  That would be sweet.  Anyways, onward with my predictions.

Sony: Steals the show simply put.  BBA and HDD are announced with a price affordable enough for anyone (I\'m guessing around 100-150 dollars for the package) along with a proposed price drop to take effect in November from 199-249.  

The new title by the crash team is graphically impressive, but sounds totally uninteresting.  Outlook seems very iffy from both casual and hardcore gamers.

989 continues to flop while EA displays Madden2k2 continuing its rein as football champ on the PS2.  SSX looks to be more of the same, but continues to be a title of high quality.

More first party titles are revealed from Sony and the graphics STUN the crowd.  Syphon Filter 3 is shown and it looks to be on par with MGS2.

Konami showcases a second lengthy MGS2 trailer revealing at least 1 more new character, but holding back lots of information with lots of re-edited footage from last years E3 along with more gameplay footage.

Sega shows off a new title on the PS2 no one EVER expected and wows the crowds.

I\'ll post my Nintendo thoughts tomorrow.  I don\'t want my post to be lengthy seeing as most people have a tendency to skip over them when they are, despite its high amount of quality.

well Your price of the HDD / Ethernet adapter is far from affordable so I\'ll assume you we\'re being Sarcastic. If its that much I won\'t be rushing out to get one and neither will the majority of PS2 owners, it needs to be next to nothing to succeed.


I have a tremndous amount of High hopes for Naughty Dogs game, and I believe Naughty Dog is one of the most underrated Developers out there. There game will appeal in all aspects. I\'m 100% confident it will,

As for other announcements I don\'t know but I\'m looking forward to TGS next month 1st

I know I put it in an odd place but I was inspired right then so I wrote it.  I want to elaborate more on what I wrote though.


Sony- Has a great showing.  Developers announce that they are getting use to the PS2 and it shows 10 fold.  Sony stated before that they would like a stronger in house team.  I believe one will show up at E3 and announce a very bold project.  989 studios announces another game, no one cares.  Sega announces more support for the system, and shows games in video only.  Everyone claps.

Naughty Dogs\' game is met with mixed reviews.  A new Chrono game is announced by Square, along with another Secret of Mana.  EA makes more lude comments about Sega, Sega announces the 2K series for all platforms, EA pisses themselves. A price drop is announced in light of GC and Xbox.  Everyone claps again.

In all, Sony\'s future looks bright.  

Sega-  Drops all kinds of bombs and impresses the public yet again.  Sadly though, it won\'t help the DC from its\' demise.  But it will keep DC owners VERY HAPPY for the next year.  NiGHTS 2 and Panzer Dragoon Saga Eternal are announced and shown in 5 second video clips.  The crowd demands more!!

DC exclusives are announced and still breath life into the system.  Sega is still seen as a great showman and top developer.

Sega announces titles for all systems, Everyone smiles:).


Nintendo- well, I don\'t know jack about the gamecube.  I know it will have another Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Killer Instinct on it.  It will also have all games made by Rare.  This is enough to start the hype and goodness that will be Gamecube.  Developers are announced that no one had any idea about, it looks like Nintendo have a strong foot hold this time round.

Gameboy Advanced shows huge support.  More developers announce more games.  Everyone will be looking for Final Fantasy Advanced, Nintendo says your **** out of luck.

Microsoft-  ah yes, PS2\'s main enemy.  Well, IMO, the xbox will rock and be met with the same enthusiasm as the PS was years ago.  All developers are revealed, huge suprises, the hype hits a fever pitch.  The price is announced and is met with disgusted faces,  Sorry Billy, you can\'t win them all.

Anyway, that\'s my prediction.

Ooh My God if that happened i think i would wet my self.

I am hoping for a US version of the Secret of Mana 2 - but if the made a new Secret of Mana it would be too modern and the result would be a bad game.

Yea i hope there are alot of suprises at E3 but i am not gonna predict them all.

E3...........grrr dont think ill be able to go to it cuz of finals, but who knows we\'ll see...and yes Sony will most likely steal teh show........nintendo.....HAHHAAHAHHAHAH........nintendo.......hHAHAHAHAHAHHAH =D

nintendo- wins E3 with jaw dropping graphics,unbeliveable sound, and mariocube is so different from the other mario\'s people will call it a revolution....i hope.

sony-comes in a close second, shuts the graphics whore\'s up once and for all with games we know nothing about(they use the vector units..thank god thank god)....they announce a price drop to 250$ starting fall2001....japan based third party\'s support sony 110% like expected.

sega-the dead-cast is dead...nuff said.

xbox-will be the dissapointment of the show when it\'s graphics do not look better than PS2 and GCN....nothing but PS2 ports and or ripp-offs and nothing but PC ports are shown with some weak and sorry first party games....point is: the xflop will live up to it\'s name.

I hope Square announces a New RPG outside of there Franchises

Time for something New of course Vagrant Story 2 would peak my interest


Still you can expect something at TGS next month

how is 100 bucks for a 10 gig HDD and a BBA too much money?  I suppose it could be lowered to 50 dollars... but the sega BBA is 50 all itself.  I dunno, it\'s just a prediction.

Sony annouce a 15 gig HDD/BBA/56k modem,keyboard,mouse w/ pad package to be free when sign up with Sony\'s network.

Sony offically unveil Omega Boost2,Ape Escape2,Legend of Dragoon2,Naughty Dog\'s game and Verants massive online PS2 game.

Nintendo annouce GC price at $199.99 and will launch in mid October.

MarioCube is unveiled and take game of the show .

Nintendo annouced huge secret project with Sega.

Nintendo annouced new relations with Square


-Microsoft Showing-

M$ annouce Xbox price at $299.95 and will launch in late Sept

M$ will annouced there own online network that will launch shortly after the console launch

Yeah 150 for hdd and internet is too much!!! I don\'t know what price it should so all users can have it. I wish around 24.95 but that is wishful thinking:p

if its gonna be 100-150 dollars they better not make games that you need the HHD to play

My E3 prediction is that I will be there playing all the new games and systems. Oh yeah, I will be checking out the booth babes too. Maybe go to a few parties. It\'s going to be rough.

I believe it\'s a full online Star Wars PS2 game. I don\'t think there are many details about it at this point though.

i hope see new videos of FFX, if Square tried launch the game in march... can be we see any video... jejej FF´s footage will be the best in the show, sure.
