Final Fantasy 10 , Yes i did say TEN !

Look i don\'t care if this is not a ingame shot, this game is looking sweet, here we have the main character Tidus

infact here is some of the story line for you.

Official names, new screens, and Setting Described...


Two official character names have been released by Square. The girl will infact be named Yuna, however the main character will not be named Tide or Tida. His name will be Tidus. Also, 5 new screens similar to the last ones have been added to the images section. They are of much better quality. Along with those, 2 new character renders and a fully rendered scene have been added.

Now, onto the news about the games setting or feel...Series composer Nobuo Uematsu described the game as having "an Okinawan feel" in his Weekly Famitsu column, and the game looks to reflect the unique culture of the island group located off the southwest coast of Japan. Okinawa\'s tropical setting is reflected in the oceans and palm trees seen in the first released screens. Also, Yuna\'s name means a type of hibiscus flower in Okinawan dialect and Tidus means "sun".

That first pic... I think it\'s either made just look very good or then ripped off from an FMV sequence. But looks like the FMV\'s are taken a large leap from FFIX and look lots better! ( oh, wait for the movie to see FF in full glory! )

But I\'m getting very excited about FFX. I don\'t care about the graphics so much, if the storyline is good. And I\'m waiting forward that the game will be long and have some revolutionary elements ( such as daytime-changing; is there any announcements or just rumours of it? ).

But... It will be a must buy for me. Really.

I don\'t care if the main character\'s name is Tidus; I\'ll change it to Jose anyways. A tradition.

The lead development staff of Final Fantasy X has been revealed, and despite most of them being from Final Fantasy VIII, one surprise is on the list:

Director: Yoshinori Kitase
Scenario: Kazushige Nojima
Art Director: Yusuke Naora
Character Design: Tetsuya Nomura (^all from FFVIII)
Battle Director: Toshiro Tsuchida (Director of the Front Mission series)

Square\'s selection of Tshuchida as battle director apparently marks an end to active time battles in the series, as FFX will feature more strategic battles, possibly taking factors such as positioning into account. Because of this, the virtually-completed FFX is undergoing some more tuning to ensure a balanced combat engine, but remains on schedule for a spring release in Japan.

The hero Tidus will be voiced by Seiichi Morita, while Yuna will be voiced by Mayuko Aoki. Both are new to voice acting and instead served as motion capture actors in FFVIII, with Morita acting as Zell and Aoki acting as both Rinoa and Edea. Square explained the choices as a desire to use voice actors that did not remind gamers of previous characters.

Square also claims that there is no longer a clear distinction between towns/dungeons and the world map, though it remains to be seen whether that is meant graphically or in terms of actual world design. The game\'s camera, instead of following the character as in most 3D games, will follow series tradition and remain floating in place while now being player-movable.

the borders between dungons and towns are blured, this WILL make for a more fluid gameplay .

plus i cant wait to see the new combat system in action, like the idea that you can "place" your charaters .

Though the video is sideways, often out of focus, and obscured by the crowd, a few good scenes are partially visible. In one, a fairly good view of Yuna\'s face is shown. In another, near the end, a Leviathan-like creature seems to be rising up. However, the real point of interest here is the audio. Not only can you hear a little of the voice acting, but the music itself may well be the first revealed track from the game. The clip is below for you to download along with the audio track which is in MP3 format.

Ah, me either ooseven. The new battle-system. I love the old battle-system as well, but it has gotten quite old; and is very simple. I was expecting something new already.

And I\'d love to see some really strategic battles; where you\'d really have to think your next move ( in old system it\'s just chaotic fight, usually agains bosses, where you just attack and try to heal your friends at the same time as fast as you can ).

But keep those news coming ooseven. I\'m relying on you.
