Questions bout the ps2 memory card

1) it said it wasnt formatted so i formatted it, was this the right thing to do?

2) i know u cant save psx games onto ps2 memroy card, but i heard that you could copy the psx memory card files to ps2 memroy card...how do i do this?

3) the card starte off with 7, 998k...wats the 2k from...the system info for the cubes?

4) also does n e 1 have a link that explains the cubes?

5) wats other stuf u can do with the ps2 memory card?

I think if i can remeber right,it is your saved system configuration.

I´ve other question about the PS2 memory card... I hope you try help me. ok, for put your PS1 games in high quality (smoth... I think it is said in english) you need change the system configuration option in the texture menu... then... is there any kind of save this option in your PS2 memory card??? then you needn´t change the option every time you want play a PS1 game... I know there is a system configuration data file in the memory card but I don´t know how save this change...

i dont think u can save those settings, i think u gotta change them everytime...now sum1 please answer my questions or confirm my info bout not being able to save the settings

did you have anything saved on there originally ? if so then i think it was erased since i dont have a JPN system i wouldnt know..im assuming you have a JPN system cuz the US nor the Pal [i think] asks you to format the memory card

well if you cant save games onto a PS2 memory what makes you think you can copy saved files from a PSX to a PS2 memory card ? theres no point of it..and you cant anyways..PSX memory cards goes by BLOCKS..PS2 memory cards go by MEGS

you CAN NOT save those options..thats what i dont like..but i guess they did that for a reason because some games cant use those functions

heres how to copy ps1 memory card info onto the ps2 card
To copy PS1 game saves on the PS2 memory card, select the PS1 memory card while you\'re in the browser. Select the save you want to copy, select copy and copy to your PS2 memory card.

you very welcome..but i dont think you can save PS1 games onto PS2 memory cards...like i stated above..PS1 games uses BLOCKS..and PS2 games uses MEGS..so i dont know how they going to convert BLOCKS to MEGS..i believe in the manual it also states you cant save PS1 on to PS2 memory cards..it was somewhere on a manual..dont remember exactly which one it is

i already tried it bandit and it worked..i havent tried other stuff like puttin it back onto the ps1 card and seeing if it works..i only put it on the ps2 card and it transfered it properly to my knowledge..maybe wen u transfer it back to the ps1 card it wont work
