I was just wondering what everyone\'s favorite ATV is in the game.  The only one I have used for an extended period of time is the Yamaha Banshee, partly because it is well balanced and I used to own one in real life.  The Honda 400EX works well to.  So, what\'s your favorite?

I believe I\'m driving the Havoc Razor in Pro Career, and with the occasional tweaking, I gotten as far as the Wilkes-Barre track.

I\'m really curious as to the performance of the unlockable ATV you get after completing the Pro Career mode.  Can anyone who has finished this mode give me the low-down?

I was truly certain that Satan was in possession of the AI during my efforts to win the Wilkes-Barre track!!! :D  Then I discovered that whole "tweaking" thing for my 4-wheeler.

BTW, I initially ran the "default" 4-wheeler (don\'t remember which one it was specifically,...just the one that displays when you first begin) all the way to the unlockable ATV 1000.  As far at THAT ATV goes...WOW!!!  Ya know how you can be racing a track and you witness one of the AI ATV\'s gettin air over Mars & your head?  I mean, jeez, they can literally FLY...well, that\'s what the 1000 lets you do!!!

The ATV 1000 is terrific!!!  Now, if you have not done it, kick it on the Waypoint tracks (and choose the long version -- versus short or medium).  The Waypoint environments are simply amazing!!!  Then kick it up a level and edit your own Waypoint tracks the way you see fit.  Truly wicked game!!!

I knew it would be worth it. Saw a cheat code to unlock the ATV 1000, but I prefer to get my money\'s worth and do it legit.

Can you believe Gamespot gave it an average score of 6.7?!?  However, the reader reviews rating was a little more generous at a 9.0 average after 305 reviews.

I\'ve heard that ATV Offroad is the #1-selling PS2 game right now.  Is it really an awesome game, or did people just buy it because of the ads they ran in Maxim?

I\'m a big fan of racing games that are big on action and low on realism, so would I like this game?

There is some realism.  If you are a racing fan, you will love this game. I\' not a big racing fan and I like this game a lot.  It is just pure entertainment.

I just finished the Pro career mode and I must say that it was pretty anti-climatic. You see, I had only to place 5th on the Menifee track on order to proceed, so considering that there are only four other racers.....
And, previous to this, I had only to place 4th on the Santa Fe track to proceed. Somehow, I magically came in 1st on the first attempt; the biggest load of BS that happened in all of Career mode.

It almost seems like you accumulate points over all the races and are awarded certain graces with the last couple of tracks. Sorta disappointing IMO.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Oh well, at least I can finally try out the ATV 1000!
