Poll: Which country consistantly produces the best console games?

Japan hands down.

So very true, that. The Japanese seem to be the only game developers that have a really vivid imagination and they strive for quality products (the big software houses at least). The gaming world would just plain suck gopherballs without the japanese in the business. Imagine no Final Fantasy, no VF, no Tekken, no Gran Turismo, no Mario, no nothing. Of my 35 PSX games about 30 are of japanese origin.

Of course Japan, but I also think, Australia.

They are only begining to make games, I know, but the ones that they do make are FRIGGEN AWESOME. Bias aside though, it is true.

Melbourne House made Le Mans 24 Hours for DC, PSOne and it is coming to the PS2. This game ROCKS.

Then you have that company who made Dark Reign for PC, I thought it was crap, but it sold by the bucket load!

Then you also have RatBag.Inc, which makes all those Dirt Car games, which totally rock.

EA Gold Coast also make alot of the sport games!

Capcom is in Japan, so I have to say Japan. So is Konami, even though they haven\'t given me a 2D Contra or Castlevania in along time, I still have faith in them.

 On another note; If I never have to see another Tomb Raider game in my life, I can die a happy man.

Pfft Bulgaria makes the best games hands down,they have Bulcom and Bulnamy and....OK I\'ll stop now.
But the japs do make nice games,so do the Americans.

I visit Saudi Arabia 2 times a year
Actually they produce the best and the most pirate copies in the whole world.

Thats where I get my PSX games.And they only cost 25 S.R.(£3 cyprus pounds).

Don\'t forget that they make a lot of corny crap in Japan that luckily never reaches our borders. In overall consistency I would have to say the UK and Japan are the best when it comes to console gaming; but like someone already stated, the sheer number of PC developers and ease with which one can make a PC game makes the US numero uno when it comes to PC games.

England have Rare, Codemasters (who make the best console driving games hands down), grrr, there are definately more but I can\'t think right now.

But I\'d agree overall, Japan has best developers and that\'s because the game industry is so huge there.

Unicorn! i live in saudi arabia and i pay much less than 25SR for my PSX games. i pay 10SR not one penny more. 10SR=3$. and the DC games are 25SR.

yes Saudi arabia produce the best titles ( just little bit after japan ). some of the great games they produced:

living it in the deserd - Genesis
eating in the deserd - PSX
being kewl in the deserd - PC
gays in the deserd - X-box
sleeping in the deserd - GC
not having any women around - PS2
loonly in the deserd - X-box
nothing to do - DC

Hawaii makes the best games...  Sufing games that is.  Hands up! No i think Japan does.

Hmm alot of you are forgetting the americans.Where would we be without games like Quake and all the fps,the simulators.And what about Naughty Dog they make good games and I can\'t wait for their new one.
 And Giants:Citisen Kabuto was made in England.
